A Rainbow of Colors

Happy hump day! It's been pretty busy for me in blogland, I've got lots to create and lots to share. This is my second posting today so please scroll down for the first one!! I used to be a designer for InStyle Stamps a couple of years ago and last year was invited back as a guest and this month I am back as a guest again!! The image here is called Flower Fence which I find great for making all occasion cards.
It's also time for a new Flutterby Wednesday challenge!! This week our theme is to use a rainbow or a rainbow of colors. I went for the rainbow of colors on my card. The pretty pastels make this such a cheerful Spring card. I've got more images to share from InStyle Stamps throughout the month, so stay tuned!!
I just wanted to give all of you a heads up for this Friday, with the new February digital image release from Elisabeth Bell, it's super super cute!! You won't want to miss it! =)

Happy hump day! Now that Halloween has past, how many of you have started Christmas shopping? I haven't yet...however I think most will start shopping the day after Thanksgiving. Anyway today begins a new challenge with Flutterby Wednesday!! This week the team were sponsored with digital images from In Style Stamps.
I personally love the cute anime images and had fun coloring this cutie! The image is appropriately named Wing Change Ava. I think she is just too cute!! Should you join us for the challenge, it's an open one...just be sure to use a butterfly, fairy or angel. it runs until Tuesday at midnight.

You've Got Mail

I love that movie!! I think Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks make a great movie couple. Well, today I've used an image from In Style Stamps called Mailbox Love. This image is not yet available in the store but will be on September 24th!!
One of the things I like about this image is how versatile it is. I can use this not only for Valentine's Day but for any occasion!! All you need to do is change up the colors. This is my last card creating with InStyle Stamps as their Guest Designer for the past 2 months. It was great coming back as guest after being on the DT for 1 year. Enjoy the rest of the weekend!!

Snowman Chick

It's finally Aloha Friday and time for a new challenge with Christmas Stampin' All Year Long!! The challenge is to create a card using Brads/Eyelets. You must have at least 3 brads or eyelets on your card but the more the better!! This week the DT have been sponsored by InStyle Stamps.
The image I used for my card is called Snowman Chick, I love to color up anime images! For my card I have used some red brads for buttons on the snowman and some green ones in the corners of the image. I then used my MS snowflake border punch and added more snowflakes and bling. Hope you'll join us for the fun!

Instyle Stamps Sneak Peek

I hope all of you are having a great weekend!! It's a fun filled weekend for me where I get to spend time with both family and friends. These kinds of weekends go by so quickly I wish there was another day for the weekend! The card I created today is an adorable sneak peek from InStyle Stamps that will be available September 24th!! Her name is Firefly Chloe.
I loved working with this image because I was able to add some fun details. The glass bottle was colored, then I added some crystal lacquer to make it look like glass. Next I added some white polka dots to her dress for a printed effect. Each week for the month of September I will be showing new images from InStyle Stamps! Have a good one!

A Wee Witch

It's almost that time where we celebrate Halloween, it may seem far from now but this would be a good time to start to think about what you'd like to dress up as, or maybe even have your kids think about what they want to be so you can get their costumes made. Time flies and so does this little witch.
This image is called Witchy Chloe, and she can be found at InStyle Stamps. Doesn't she look like a sweet witch, not a wicked bone in her body! LOL!
I love the colors of this day and the pretty papers and accessories made for paper crafting. The printed paper is from a new line called Graphic 45 called Wonderland in Halloween. I also added some bats using my Martha Stewart punch.
Stop by InStyle Stamps to get this image for your Halloween cards or get other new Halloween images from the store too.

Fall Is Near

Well, it's still officially Summer but we are headed quickly into the holidays and looks like today I'm featuring every holiday that comes toward the end of the year. This fun and happy image is from In Style Stamps and her name is Jocelyn.
I hardly create cards that are for Fall, and I think it's because there aren't too many stamps that were created for that season. I mainly see stamps for Halloween and Christmas. Anyway I was thrilled that this image was created for Fall/Thanksgiving.
I was also happy to be able to use my Martha Stewart Autumn leaf punch, which I then distressed with some distress inks from Tim Holtz.
Please scroll down for my 3rd post of the day!!

InStyle with Chloe

I can't believe how quickly the week is going by, time sure is flying by for me lately. Anyway, today I'm featuring a card that uses an image from InStyle Stamps. I was once a DT member for them in the past and have just been asked back as a Guest DT member for the next 3 months!! So, let me introduce you to this cutie! This digital image is called Ornamental Chloe. She couldn't have arrived at the perfect month... Christmas in July!! I know many of you have been creating some cards for Christmas this month, so here's another adorable image that you can use for your card giving.
Since I've been creating cards for Christmas I try to make it a point to include some pink since it is my favorite color. I think it brightens it up and makes it a bit sweeter!! If you love digitals and cute images, check out InStyle Stamps for more!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

Treats For All

It's time for an InStyle Stamps Blog Hop and this month's theme is treats! This cute fairy is Cynthia, she's holding a tooth which obviously means she's a tooth fairy... lol. When I first got this image I had no idea what I would do when it came to the theme of treats, but at the very last minute I decided to have a treat for all. Kids (and adults) love candy and some parents are worried that too much candy will cause cavities. So I have put together a fun little container with some candy and some toothpaste and dental floss! All you parents out there, this is also great to take with you on the go!
I've wrapped up some Hershey's Nuggets candy for a little decoration and added some crystal lacquer to the tooth to represent the shiny enamel of the tooth. I've also added some bling to the top of her hair.
Here's some information for the hop. First visit all the DT blogs, then go to the ISS blog to vote for your favorite project and leave a comment on that posting by answering a question.
The DT member with the highest votes will get a prize, and there will be a Grand Prize to one reader. The winner will be chosen from the comments on the ISS blog.
This contest will begin from 11:59pm EST Saturday and the winners will be announced on Sunday.
Be sure to check out what the rest of the DT has created for today's exciting hop!
Have fun and I hope to have your vote! =)

Back To School

It's time for In Style Stamp's Monthly Blog Hop!! This month we are headed back to school!! This is Jacob!! He sure is ready to head back to school! He's got his back pack strapped on and now all he has to do is pick up his crayons!! LOL! Just kidding. I am late on this post due to camera issues, but have borrowed one to get these pics for you now.
I've posted 2 pictures just so you could see that this was actually a backpack and not just another box. =) I also got a composition book and covered it to match the bag with Jacob on it.
If you like Jacob head on over to the store where you can also pick up the NEW stamps too! Speaking of NEW... remember yesterday I said that I'd have some terrific news?
Starting September 1st there will be a new blog called Club Anime!! I know there are lots of you out there who just adore these anime images and let me tell you there are so many adorable ones that I wish you could see now! Of course you'll have to wait...
If you like my project, I'd really like your vote. So, head on over to the blog to vote and you could also win a FREE digital image!! You'll have until Saturday August 29th at 11:59 PM to vote!

Flutterby Fairy

Hello Blogland! Hope all of you are doing well! The card I have for you today was meant for yesterday's challenge on Flutterby Wednesday and also to introduce to you a brand new image from In Style Stamps of Fairy Ava. This month there will be a new line of fairies and available for purchase the last Friday of the month which is our normal blog hop days. I just love these fairies and how cute they are!! For those of you who have never seen these fairies and want to get some now click HERE! I love this Ava holding the sign because you can customize it to say anything you want, just like I did for a get well card.
For Flutterny Wednesday the challenge is to create a card and CASE it from another one of the design team members. So, I found a card using the layout from Ann. The card looks just like this but with different colors and a different stamp. =) To participate in the challenge all you need to do is find a card to CASE and be sure to use a butterfly or fairy on your card. This week I decided to use both and incorporated some butterflies from my Martha Stewart punch. To see what the rest of the DT has created, click on their names: Ann, Cassie, Chris, Christine, Danni, Harriet, Heather, Kim, Lelia, Michelle, Nancy, Nicola, Stef, and Taylor.
Thanks to those of you who gave me feedback on whether or not listing my copic pens were helpful. I will continue to list them for you . I know some have asked to group my pens together in a bunch and just snap a photo of them for each card, the only drawback is you won't really know what colors were used for what area. I may also just consider coloring one area then take photos step by step. We'll see. =)
Many thanks for all the comments you may leave!

Ready or Not

It's August and that means school is back in session for some students and soon for others. So I decided to make a bookmark using Janice from In Style Stamps. The card and the bookmark are not meant to be a matching set.
The card I made previously in another post but I had to create using this image again because she is so cute. I used designer paper that contains numbers with hopes that this bookmark will be used for a math book. Stay tuned as In Style Stamps has lots of new things for you this month! Hope you have a great Monday!

My Dog Ate My Homework

This card was meant for a challenge that had started yesterday with In Style Stamps but I was unable to complete the card due to the missing image.
I had already colored and cut out my image of Nate, and as I was just about done piecing it all together I just could not find him anywhere! I searched high and low for it and still nothing. The only thing I could conclude was that my puppy got a hold of it and chewed it to pieces... sure enough that was the case. It was too early in the morning to color another one so here is the new one.
Anyway, here is the card up close and I used the buttons in all 4 corners of my printed paper. Isn't this a cute image! I tried to get a picture of the sponging I did on the brown cardstock for a more rustic look and the fun part was tying the rope. The sketch I used is from Mojo Monday.
We'd love to see what you will create for the Wednesday challenge!!
Paper: Brocade Blue, Creamy Caramel CS, Neenah CS, DSP (Unknown)
Ink: Copics, Close to Cocoa for sponging
Accessories: Rope, buttons, nestabilities
Have a great day!!

Method Monday for In Style Stamps: Post It Purse

It's my turn for Method Monday at In Style Stamps and I've created a post it purse! I've made it a purse just because I thought if I added a ribbon for a handle, it would be easier to access when you put it in your bag.
The cute image I used is Ava! This is what your finished product will look like, below I have created a simple tutorial for you .

First you'll cut a piece of cardstock at 3 1/4" x 9 1/4". On the longside you will score at 3", 3 1/2", 6 3/4" and 7 1/4". Then fold on all scores. You will have one shorter flap which will act as the closure for the holder.

Next you will punch 2 holes near the shorter flap. In this photo I have the holder on it's side. You will punch one on the top and one on the bottom (as shown). Be sure the holes are punched equally. You'll then cut the ribbon and thread it through the holes and tie knots on the inside of the holder. For the closure I cut a small piece of velcro.
Lastly, place your post it note pad in the holder and close it with velcro. After I placed my post it in the holder I realized that only using carstock was just too plain so I've added designer paper to brighten it a bit. Hope you will find this fun and useful!
Please scroll down to see my post for Christmas Stampin' All Year Long!
Have a happy Monday!!

A New Prince

Good morning! It's the last friday of the month which means that it is time for another blog hop with In Style Stamps!! The theme this month is Fantasy.... Introducing Prince Gael, he along with fairies, dragons and a princess of course are among the newest images!
Here he is in all his glory, defending his castle!! So, I have created a card and to match it, I used another image of him and placed it on a tin that will be used for a gift. I thought the tin was perfect for him being that it matches his shiny armour. =)

Expecting Someone?

When I first saw this image, I just thought they were such a cute couple! Now that I had a chance to create a card with them I knew I wanted to make a non-traditional shower card. I wanted to stay away from colors that normally represented a baby.
A co-worker is expecting her 3rd child and is due the second week in August so I created this card for her. Hope she likes it! We are throwing her a surprise shower next Friday. =)
Here's a closer look at the happy couple! I had a little trouble in coloring his pants. The pen I was using decided to run out of ink just as I was done coloring. Well, no one's perfect...
I've refilled the ink but didn't want to do more damage, so I left it.
Please scroll down to see the other 2 postings for the day.
Have a good one!

Thankful Thursday

It's Thursday and my turn to host Thankful Thursday. Thursdays at Instyle stamps is the day we choose a sketch for you to use and create a card with any of the stamps and digital images in the store and upload it to that post. You will have one week to post your card there and a chance to win! Click HERE for all the details.
Is she a cutie or what! Today I introduce you to Mykai. I just had to have this digital image, she is adorable. When making my card I knew that I wanted to keep it simple and yet have something to make it "pop", if you know what I mean. So to achieve that I decided upon using some Japanese washi paper, this is the printed paper behind my image. I just love these papers, they come in all different patterns and color combinations.
For me, this was the best color combo out there. Some are just too much. =)

When you head on over to the In Style store, be sure to check out the awesome 4th of July sale that is going on. There are many stamps on special, so get them while their hot!

Hope you like Mykai just as much as I loved making this card.
Card Details:
Paper: Dusty Durango, Basic Black, Neenah CS
Inks: Copics
Accessories: Real Red Grosgrain ribbon, Scalloped punch
Thanks for stopping by, I sure hope all of you have a great day!
