Halloween Goodies

Are you ready for Halloween? Sure hope so, it will be here in no time! These are pumpkin baskets that I made for a Halloween get together with a few local bloggers here in Hawaii. We got together earlier this month and shared all kinds of different ways to hold candy for Halloween. I have yet to take the pictures of what these talented girls have made so all of you can see for yourselves. In the meantime, I have pictures of what I made for them. These are baskets made to look like pumpkins. They are made out of a Stampin' Up Pillow Box die cut, and the directions can be found HERE.
I really would not have made these if I had a ton to do but since there were only 10 that I needed to make I decided to go for it. They really are fun to make! I filled it with all kinds of candy to eat and one special candy to play with which is a cuttlebug folder.
Another reason I am posting this today is for a challenge called Saturday Spotlight! The challenge this week is to create a treat container. So I went for the Halloween theme. Hope you'll have a chance to make one of these for Halloween!! Have a great day!

Pumpkin Picking Season

Tilda is ready for Halloween! She's got her pumpkins and will have them all carved and lit for all the Trick or Treaters. It's time for a brand new Roses on Paper Challenge which is to create a card, project or treat for Halloween. I decided to make a card but not just any card. This card is called a Recessed Window Card. I have taken a few photos in hopes that you can see that the center of the card sits behind the punched out fence. Instructions can be found here.
I have also made this card for the Spotlight Saturday Challenge! This is a new challenge blog that has lots of new and fun challenges. This week the challenge is to make a scene for your card. These jack-o-lanterns are from last years Magnolia Halloween Collection and the little pumpkins in the middle are the ones sitting in Tilda's lap. I just colored and cut them out to be placed in the front of the fence.
Here's one view of the recessed window card, and another below. This was a fun card to make and hope you'll try it out too!
If you love Belles n' Whistles stamps be sure to check out the ROP/BnW Challenge Blog for details!! Halloween is fast approaching and I've got lots to share. Hope to see you back next time!

Thinking of You

This week I wanted to share an adorable stamp that reminds me of what my niece does now that she is 2 years old. She just loves to be around people and share what she has just like in this stamp of the Scarecrow and Little Wizard from Belles n' Whistles Stamps.

This is a stamp that would most likely be used for Halloween but definitely for Thanksgiving too. All you need to do is just mask out (don't stamp) the Jack-o-Lantern that the Little Wizard is holding, or just stamp the scarecrow and use him alone. I have also used a sketch from Friday Sketchers to create my card.

I am giving this stamp away to a lucky someone, all you need to do is:
1. Leave only one comment on this post
2. Link my candy or this post on your blog
3. You will have until Friday October 16th 11:59 PST to enter and the winner will be chosen
Saturday October 17th! Good luck!

For those of you who have created cards using Belles n' Whistles Stamps there is now a gallery for all of your fabulous creations! You'll definitely want to upload them since the DT will be checking out your creations and feature your card or project on the Belles n' Whistles Blog. In fact, take a look at yesterday's post for some fun!!
Be sure to check out the Belles n' Whistles Blog daily for news, ideas and fun!!

Copic Creations Challenge #14

Hope all is well with everyone! Today is the start of another Copic Creations Challenge and the challenge is to color things black. I chose to color Tilda with Thistle and make her dress and shoes black. I must say that this was surely a challenge for me. I don't feel that I did the best job in coloring it to my liking. Too late now. Anyway, after I colored her I added some stickles to the bottom of her dress and flower, as well as the spiderweb border punch. This photo doesn't really show, but I have used my spiderweb cuttlebug embossing folder for the background.

I just love Halloween and had fun coloring the image regardless of it being difficult. =) I sure hope that you will have a chance to participate in the challenge and when you head on over to the blog be sure to check out the wonderful creations from the rest of the DT. How many of you have gotten your So Spooky Magnolia Collection? I did, and I am currently brewing something with them! Can't wait to show you!! Have a wonderful day!

Halloween Happenings!

Happy October 1st to all of you! Can you believe how time flies soooooo quickly! I just love Halloween and can't wait to fill this month with some fun and festive cards and treats! Well, today I am sharing with you a card I made for a new Copic Creations challenge #13 and the theme is pumpkins. There just could not be a better way or a cuter way to color pumpkins than using the Halloween stamps from CC Designs. This is Cow Emma, isn't she adorable! I actually think she could also be colored brown and beige for a giraffe costume too.
I was going for the night time trick-or-treat look. I probably should have added more pumpkins to the right side of my card or even a sentiment but I think I will add that as it gets closer to Halloween and give it away. =)
For my card I have airbrushed here and there and did a little sponging on the grey cardstock for an older/darker effect and even had the time to sew on it!
The rest of the DT has created Halloween cards for the challenge using the Halloween line of CC Design stamps and can be found HERE. Be sure to check them out and participate in the challenge too! You won't want to miss out on the great prize too!
I remembered to take a picture of the copic colors I used on my card. Tomorrow I will be announcing the winner of the new Belles n' Whistles stamp, if you have not entered to win, be sure to do so by 11:59 PM PST and click HERE for that posting. Have a great day!

Hi Everyone! Wow, it really seems like forever since I last posted on my blog. I've missed all of you and hope you are all doing well! Today I wanted to share with you a little something I created with one of my NEW Belles n' Whistles Stamps, called Little Witch With Broom. The last time I used her I used the entire stamp and made put her on a recipe card. This time I wanted to try just a portion of it.

I stamped her 3 times and colored her in, punched a hole for the ribbon and tied it to a treat bag. How simple was that! You can do this with all of the NEW Stamps since they are for the upcoming holidays! I hope you enjoyed the idea and will create some of your own too. For more inspiration with Belles n' Whistles stamps, check out the BLOG.
If you'd like to win this adorable stamp, all you need to do is leave your comment on this post and post about it on your blog. The winner will be announced on Friday October 2! Good luck!

I'm so excited to announce that Pink Cat Studio is going digital! Today Melissa is opening an online digital store with a wonderful selection of brand new Halloween and Christmas designs. So now Pink Cat Studio will have 2 stores, one for rubber stamps and the other for digital stamps. Check out the new store HERE! I had so much fun creating with these digitals and went ahead to create a few Halloween items since that is our next celebration.

The first image I used is Itty Bitty Betty with her broom and jack-o-lantern she is so cute! I made an accordian folder with her and included a sentiment that comes from the new Halloween Pink Cat Studio stamp set. You can definitely use these folders for anything and I will be using my folder to place a variety of Halloween treat recipes. For the tabs I have used some spiders that I punched from my Martha Stewart punch.
Next, I made a card using a different image, which happens to be one of my favorites! One of the great things about digital stamps is the ability to make them as small or as big as you want. So I've enlarged it to fit my 6x6 card.
The background of my card is made with a spiderweb ribbon made of felt and some punched out spiders, both of which are from Martha Stewart. The frogs are all covered in crystal lacquer to simulate their slimy skin.
Last but not least, I have chosen another Betty image and made her slightly larger than her original size just to have her fit perfectly on my basket. This is a really fun and easy basket to make, especially if you are looking for something fast and simple.

I hope you enjoyed the projects I created today. Be sure to check out the store and of course what the rest of the DT and other bloggers have created with these adorable digital images!

I hope you enjoyed the Belles n' Whistles blog hop as much as I did! How cute are those stamps!
Today I've got a new challenge for Roses on Paper where you must include stitching in your card. It can be any kind of stitching whether you draw it in or use your sewing machine but you must use a stamp that Roses on Paper carries.
Don't you just think this stamp is adorable! Well they are called Bild Malarnas, the newest addition to the Roses on Paper family. I had to really look at this stamp to find out why the pumpkin was carved and then the lid is being held down. I think it's because these little ghosts had opened it up and all the bats came flying out of it. So now, they don't want anyone to know that they are the ones who let them loose! LOL! What do you think? =)
Be sure to check out the store as there are so many new things to come and you are now able to pre-order your Magnolia Halloween stamps, the magazine and the Christmas Bild Malarnas!
Head on over now to reserve your favorites!
Another exciting announcement! If you love Roses on Paper and Belles n' Whistles take out your stamps and be sure to participate in this challenge to be qualified in the entry for one of our next Guest Designers!! You will have 2 weeks to enter! Good luck!
Thanks so much for stopping by, have a great day!
