Trick or Treat!!

Happy Halloween everyone!! I just love Halloween... it's so much fun and it's the start of all of the upcoming wonderful holidays. I have been so busy these days and at the very last minute I decided to make some Halloween treats for some co-workers. There really are waaaay too many people at work for me to make these treats, I would have had to start making them in the Summer so I made 20 boxes.

I wanted to create something simple, but fun! So I made a belly band that fits perfectly around the box and kept the embellishments on the band.
Here's a close up. I have used my MS spiderweb punch, and MS spider punch. The web was glittered with diamond dust from SU, and then adhered to the band. Very easy and simple to create. Well, maybe next year I will start creating something cute and fun for Halloween ahead of time. Enjoy your day everyone, be safe and have fun!!!

One of my favorites happen to be the one on this card. I just had to use cute and sweet Coffee Kiki La Rue!!

I have to say that there are days when I feel like coffee is the only thing that will start my morning off right. I'm sure some of you can relate, LOL!! Are you ready for Halloween? I am just about ready to celebrate Halloween, but had to slip in this card using some Halloween colors. That is just what the challenge is this week for Flutterby Wednesday... to create using the colors Purple, Orange and Black.

I think the difficulty I had in creating my card was to stay away from using bats. Since these are the colors of Halloween, I tend to go in that direction. So, to challenge myself I decided not to go for a Halloween card but something more general and this is the result.

Belles n' Whistles Snowbabies Blog Hop!!

It's time for another NEW release with Belles n' Whistles!! This time we are releasing images that are for the Winter, and they are absolutely ADORABLE!! Welcome the Snowbabies Collection!! The image I have used here is called Peek A Boo! Cute right!

If you can recall, last year the team did a Christmas blog hop where we made our card and also a holiday dessert. This year the team is creating a card and a holiday drink. There really are lots and lots of holiday drinks out there so it was hard to choose. But since Christmas is kid friendly, I went with a non alcoholic beverage and made Hot Mulled Cider. It's a recipe I have never made yet and wanted to try since it is so easy. If you'd like to make this drink I here's the recipe:

Hot Mulled Cider

16 cups pure apple juice

4(2-inch) cinnamon sticks

2 oranges, peels and juice

8 whole cloves

6 star anise

Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and simmer over low heat for 5 to 10 minutes.

Pour into mugs and serve.

One very important thing that the team and I want to share with all of you is about breast cancer awareness. Here's a closer look at the card I made. This was the perfect time for me to use my snowflake punch, added some bling in the center an also used some flower soft for the snow at the bottom of the image and added some to the tops of both of their hats. I tried to go for a realistic snowfall.

A Sassy Birthday!!

Happy Tuesday to you!! Let's wish Cheryl a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Here's wishing you many many more to come!! It's time to begin a new challenge with Sassy Cheryl's!! This week's challenge is to create a card in any shape except a square. So I went with a scalloped circle.

The image I chose is called Wizard Bear. I love that he can be used for all occasions!! He could be used for Halloween, Birthdays and just plain old fun!!

To create the shape of my card I used my scalloped Spellbinders. I love these shaped cards because they are definitely more fun than a square but there are just endless possibilities. For example you can use your cricut machine which we all know has tons of shapes that you can use to create into cards!! I have yet to start using my cricut again... I miss it!

Elisabeth Bell's World NEW Challenge Blog!

My box and cards are made from images from Belles n' Whistles stamps. The box image is called Lemonade Anyone.

Belles n' Whistles Challenge: Trick Me!

Hello blogland!! I hope all of you had a great weekend, I had a pretty productive one but really wished for more hours in the day...especially on the weekends! I managed to not only to complete the normal housework and laundry but also to clean and organize about half of my craft desk. I bet you thought I was going to say craft room... well I wish!! LOL!! I really need waaaay more time for that. Anyway now my laptop is on my desk as opposed to being out in the living room.

Well, it's time for a new challenge with Belles n' Whistles!! This time the challenge was chosen by Gini, the theme is "Trick Me". I love this challenge because you can do SO much with it! I however chose the simpler way.

The photo on the top shows you 2 different stamps from the new Changeabelles Collection, they are The Gathering Place and Cupcake, Roses and Tea. I just love that you can use these images over and over and alternate with all the different accessories for any occasion!!
The photo here shows a tag that I had hidden in the back of the main image. I hid the tag by adding all the strips of ribbon behind the circle. It was my first time creating a card with a hidden tag and message in the back, they are easy and fun to make too!! There are so many creative ideas you can use for this challenge, I hope that you will join us! Just be sure to use any Belles n' Whistles stamp and to follow the them of "Trick Me". Something Metallic

Happy Aloha Friday!! Are you ready for Christmas? If you're not, don't worry neither am I. I hope that I have made enough cards for Christmas but somehow I think I need to make a whole lot more. This card will be added to my Christmas card box and was also created for today's new Christmas Stampin' All Year Long challenge!!

I Love You This Much!!

Wow! The week sure is flying by quickly! Today I am sharing a card I created using one of my favorite new images from Elisabeth Bell Digitals, called I Love You This Much! It was my first time coloring her up and had fun doing it. To be honest with you, this is the first image I colored since I returned from my trip, and it really felt strange to use my copics. Although it's been only a week since I touched them, I guess it really does make a difference... LOL!

One of the things that I don't normally do with images and stamps created by Elisabeth is create a card smaller than a 5x5, somehow this image looked better with this size of card.

I know most of you have images from Elisabeth, that were turned into stamps by various companies, but you really ought to try out her digital images!! These are great especially since you can alter the size of them.

Some of you already know and others this may be new to you but... there will be a new challenge blog that is solely dedicated to ALL of Elisabeth's creations and will begin on

October 25th!! It is appropriately called ELISABETH BELL'S WORLD!

In these challenges, you will be able to create with any and ALL images and stamps Elisabeth has ever illustrated!! I am SO excited for it and can't wait for you all to see it!!

Back In Blogland!!

Hello blog world!! Today is my first day back with a creation since I was on business/vacation. I must tell you that it is really hard to get back into the swing of things here. Today is Wednesday and that means it is time for a NEW challenge with Flutterby Wednesday!!

This week's challenge is an open one, and that means you get to create using any theme but you must have a butterfly, fairy or an angel on your creation. I decided to make some 3x3 cards and just use the sentiment. I have also found some pretty butterfly printed paper and added a punched butterfly too.

I personally love these kinds of challenges because I get to use any theme and image. So, I hope that you take advantage of this and join us for the challenge!!

Business/Vacation to Cali

Hello blogland!! It really seems like a looooong time since I have posted anything!! Well, for those of you who didn't know, I was away for business, giving a presentation and also added a couple of days in there for vacation. My presentation went well, and so did my vacation.

Everyday was a very full day, as my hubby and I tried to make the most of it.

So, here are a couple of pictures that I'd like to share with all of you.

This first one is of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. I remember coming here as a child and now revisited it again. While we were here, we also managed to take a stroll down Fisherman's Wharf to have some yummy clam chowder!! I forgot to take a picture of what we ate!!

Hubby and I also took a drive down to Monterey and a quaint town called Carmel. I love that town, so cozy, very cool and crisp air!! It will definitely be a pretty town during Christmas.

The photo below is of the beach in Monterey on our journey through 17-mile Drive. The drive is really a 17 mile drive but it seems much longer.
All of the days we were there were just beautiful!! I loved the weather in San Fran and Monterey. I would love to visit there and Carmel during the holidays. For the business part of the trip we stayed in Walnut Creek, and the weather there for a couple of days was 95 degrees!! Yikes!! Not as hot as I thought it would be though.

The beaches are very different from where I live (Hawaii), there wasn't much sun there, and the temperature was about 56 degrees.

I will share more photos as the week goes on. I hope all of you are doing well!

Copic Creations: Colorless Blender

This is a prescheduled post as I am away on business. Well, today I will be giving a presentation for work and am one of the main presenters at this conference... public speaking is not my favorite thing to do. I really hope it all turns out well!! Anyway, I must sayt that time is sure flying by and I think I have gotten the Halloween card making out of my system. We'll see...I may end up creating one or two prior to Halloween. But today I have created a Thanksgiving card for a new challenge with Copic Creations!! This time the team was sponsored by Pink Cat Studio and created with their digital images, this one is called Lily Baked A Pie.

The challenge for Copic Creations is to use your colorless blender. I rarely use my colorless blender when I color. I mainly use it to create a pattern or decoration on an image, for example to create dots on a dress. But in my image here, I have used it to lighten up the pie and the pan of the pie. A Christmas Inspiration

This time I decided not to go with the colors of the photo, instead I went with the snowflakes!! I love adding snowflakes to my card because they are so fun and pretty!! A First Time Altering

This is a prescheduled post since I am away. It's time for a new assignment with Tamiko's. This time the team had a new challenge. First, we need to follow a sketch and also to alter a CC Designs image. This is the first time that I have altered a CC designs image and had fun doing it! Christine of All That Scraps had given the team permission to test this out.

Here's my take on the challenge. I have used images from the Take A Seat Kit that was available a few months ago. I have only swapped heads with these images, so the original image with the sunflower was a girl. Looks like he wants to give this flower to his girlfriend, LOL!

Flutterby Wedesday

This is a prescheduled post, as I am away. Happy hump day!! It's time for a new Flutterby Wednesday challenge!! This time we'd like to see what you can create using Fall Colors!! Fall colors bring such a warm feeling to the season even though most places are quite cool or cold at this time.

The card I have created uses an adorable image from a line of stamps called S.W.A.L.K. There are so many cute ones but I thought that this one would fit the challenge best since it involves a hug and hugs are nice and warm.

So along with the colors of Fall, be sure to have either a butterfly, fairy or angel added to your card. Hope you are all having a great day!!

The Gift Barer

It's Tuesday and time for a new challenge with Sassy Cheryl's!! This week the challenge is to create using Dimension. I love adding dimension to my cards and images even though it may take a little more time to cut things out to mount them.

The image I chose for this challenge is called Gift Barer Snowman. He's got a few presents on his hands to share with everyone. I saw this as the opportunity to cut them out and mount them on top of the image I had already colored.
I have also added some mounting tape to the back of the image onto cardstock and then adhered it to the card. I haven't mounted my images on each other in a while so this was a fun challenge for me. RAKS and Swaps

Hello there!! I just wanted to share with you some of the wonderful things I have received. The first photo is a beautiful pink easel card that was created by my sweet friend who is also my "craft Mom" Cami!! She also sent some cute embossed charms!

The next photo is another easel card but it was created for a one card swap hosted by dear friends Kyoko and Linda!! This card was made by Cindy Adachi. I would link you to her blog but she doesn't have one. I love this adorable stamp and the colors she used too!
Lastly, here are some pretty tags that were created by my swap partner Karen. Aren't these beautiful!! I love that she also did some actual sewing with her machine in the center of these trees. The tags were created for a Monthly Tag Swap hosted by my sweet friend Kyoko!!

Hair Dryer Trio

The weekend is finally here!! I was looking forward to sleeping in today but of course no chance of that happening, hubby's birthday was yesterday so we're celebrating it his way which is to get together with the guys and watch a great football game. Anyway, I have always wanted to color this image but just had no time until now. It's from I Brake For Stamps and is called Hair Dryer Trio!!

I just love how the 2 ladies sitting on the outside part of the sofa are just peeking over at the lady in the middle who is reading a Gossip Magazine!! There must be something Juicy! LOL!

Digital Paper Piecing

It's Tuesday and that means it's time for a new challenge with Sassy Cheryl! This week the challenge is to do some paper piecing on your image. This was my first time doing paper piecing with a digital image. I thought it was going to be a little difficult but it really is SO easy. Here's the card I created using the digital image called Fat Round Snowman.

I paper pieced his sweater and colored in the rest of the image. Since it was my first time doing paper piecing with a digital image, I was trying to come up with the best way to save paper and to utilize things better. The first thing I did was choose the printed paper I wanted to use, then my white cardstock. I took the printed paper and taped it to the bottom half of the white cardstock, then placed it in the printer tray. So, when you are ready to print, you'll have one printed on white cardstock and the other printed on printed designer paper.
Then I just remove the printed paper from the white cardstock and cut that out. That's it, easy right? Hope that helps and makes sense.
