Witches Broom

Can you believe that August is as it's end? I just can't believe how fast time flies. Prior to blogging I hadn't really noticed how fast the days went, I think having deadlines for cards and projects really keeps you occupied and on your toes. It's Tuesday and that means it's time for a new challenge with Sassy Cheryl's!!
Get ready for this... This week's challenge is to create a Halloween card!! Whoo hoo!! That's right up my alley, LOL!! So, the image I chose to work with this week is appropriately called Witches Broom. This time I really wanted to use my printed papers to do the embellishing for me, and I also wanted to have lots of orange since it's a color I rarely use during the year. I have also used my white gel pen and made dots on the borders of the black cardstock.
I hope you will join in on the challenge this week as Halloween is just a couple of months away. Be sure to create with a Halloween image from the Store!

I never used to create Halloween cards in the past because I never really knew anyone who liked this time of year like I do. But, over the years I've found that there are SO many who love it!! So, now I send out Halloween cards to them!!
My next favorite time of year is Christmas, of course! Be sure to check out my post below, I'm sharing some belated Birthday cards, and goodies! Have a good one!!

August OCS, RAKs, Make & Take

Hey there! It's a late Monday post for me but I had a busy weekend so I just had to head to bed early last night... Anyway the first photo (bad lighting--oops) is a card I created for my partner Teresa (she doesn't yet have a blog, so can't link her) in the August One Card Swap. This month the theme was to create an asian card. So here's what I came up with. Hope she likes it!!
If you'd like to join us for the monthly One Card Swap, head on over to Linda's blog to check her posts for the next sign up. My week and weekends are pretty busy and this weekend was no exception. But, it was also fun! Saturday we celebrated Linda's son's graduation from High School , and Sunday had a craft day at Denise's. I received and created some fun things... take a look!
The first photo is a RAK from Denise and Cami.
This next RAK is from Jamee...she and I are Twilight fans!! But this is no ordinary cup, it's one of those that make the image look 3D. Hologram?? Anyway, it's so fun, and also dishwasher safe!
Next was a make and take and RAK. The printed purse is a cut out make and take from the Sizzix big shot pro that Janis owns. The other purse was given as a RAK from Joni, it's a gift card holder purse.. cute huh!
These next RAKs are from Kyoko and Linda . I forgot to take a photo of the cute angel charm Linda made, it's in the bag. I think I will start calling them the Wonder Twins, they are always together and both love purple... LOL!!
Last but not least is a make and take that Denise taught us how to create. This is a tea bag holder. It's a little time consuming to create but it makes a terrific gift!I hope you enjoyed looking at all of these creations. I am almost caught up with the posting of projects and RAKs... I will be back to share more cards and creations tomorrow from my birthday back in July.
I'm also going to make my way to comment on your blogs, see ya soon!

Instyle Stamps Sneak Peek

I hope all of you are having a great weekend!! It's a fun filled weekend for me where I get to spend time with both family and friends. These kinds of weekends go by so quickly I wish there was another day for the weekend! The card I created today is an adorable sneak peek from InStyle Stamps that will be available September 24th!! Her name is Firefly Chloe.
I loved working with this image because I was able to add some fun details. The glass bottle was colored, then I added some crystal lacquer to make it look like glass. Next I added some white polka dots to her dress for a printed effect. Each week for the month of September I will be showing new images from InStyle Stamps! Have a good one!

Anything Other Than Christmas

Happy Aloha Friday! I hope you are enjoying this day and planning a wonderful weekend! Here's something very different and new for Christmas Stampin' All Year Long. This week the DT is sponsored by Soft Pencil Digital images. It's not an image that goes well for the challenge but, the theme is Anything But Christmas.
The image I used is called Little Witch. Cute and sweet they are for sure! I wanted to use a good variety of colors and prints for Halloween and tried to incorporate that all on one card.
The winner of this challenge will win a $10 gift certificate from Soft Pencil! We would like to see you create with no Christmas image, and hope you'll join the fun!!

Hot Stuff

We are almost to the end of the week, I can't wait!! But until then, we have a new challenge for you over at Tamiko's! This week the we'd like to see you create a 3-D project. I love making all kinds of 3-D projects but have not really had the time.
So, I've created an apple basket using my Apple shaped Spellbinders and adorable Flirty Edward from TGF Roll Call set.
Here is the back of the apple basket, where I used one of the sentiments provided in the set.

Here's a look from the front of the basket. I sponged the inner part of the apple with a light brown and tried to achieve a realistic look. I also cut leaves and added them to both sides of the basket. I had so much fun creating this basket and hope you will join in for some 3D fun too! Just remember to use any image from Tamiko's store, and you will have until next Wednesday to participate. Don't forget... with any $25 purchase from Tamiko's you will receive FREE Shipping!! Have a great one!!

Friends To The End

This is my second post, please scroll down for the first one!
It's Wednesday and that means it's time for a new challenge with Flutterby Wednesday!! This week's challenge is an open challenge. All this means is you just create a card using either a fairy, angel or butterfly.
I found a stamp that I have not inked up in a while. The image is called Swiss Pixie Birgitta, she is found at All That Scraps, don't you just love these images! My sentiment comes from the Summer Sentiments set by Amy R, and can be found at All That Scraps too! I hope you will join the fun!!

Morning Glories

Hope all of you are having a great hump day! This is my first post of the day, I will be back in a bit with the second one. The card I created today displays a color that I just can't seem to work well with, purple. It's a great color but I have such a hard time using it.
Anyway, the image I used is from I Brake For Stamps, called Morning Glories. I actually thought they looked like a flower called a pansy. So, that's why it's purple. I went for a simpler layout when piecing this together. Remember that you can save when ordering, just be sure to enter SAVE10JODI. Thanks for stopping by!

Dots, Dots and more Dots!!

I hope all of you had a fabulous weekend! I had a great weekend full of family and friends, and a little bit of crafting too. We had our annual Island social gathering where we got to chat with old and new friends, crafted, enjoyed good conversation and food. Then celebrated my hubby's cousin's birthday. It was a hectic weekend but fun!
Since I didn't post anything yesterday, I will have to double post somewhere this week. However, my post today is right on time. The card I created is for a new challenge with Sassy Cheryl's!
The challenge is to use Dots. I love dots more than stripes so this was fun finding the paper and embellishments to match. The image is called Bobbing for Apples. I remember playing this a few times, fun but not so easy. The paper I chose for my card comes from a company called Echo Park, which is new to me. I love the Halloween prints in the pack.
I hope you will join in the challenge, just remember to use Dots and any image from the store, you have until next Monday to play. Thanks for stopping by!

Each week there will be new challenges. This week's challenge is to create a card that is Twilight related. Of course I had to participate!! You can view all the details of the challenge HERE.
The image I used is named Odette, she is from The Greeting Farm set called Roll Call. It was my first time using this image, and I just had to color her using monochromatic colors. You can find this set and more at Tamiko's! Hope you have a great day!!

Visions of Sugarplums?

I'm thrilled that today is a holiday! I've got lots of things I need to and want to do and hope to get them all done. Today is a new challenge with Christmas Stampin' All Year Long, and this week we are being sponsored by Pink Cat Studio! I really love the images from PCS, I was on the DT for a year and miss creating with these cuties!!
The challenge this week is to create a card using 2 or more different ribbons on your card. So, I've chosen a red satin bow and some red grosgrain ribbon with polka dots. The image I used is called Kitty Sleeping In Present. Too cute!! Looks like she got tired of wrapping presents!
The winner of this challenge will win 5 digital images from Pink Cat Studio!! Whoo hoo! There were so many wonderful cards and we'd love to see more this week! Hope you will join us for the fun! Have a great day!!

An Apple A Day...Keeps The Doctor Away

Happy hump day!! I'm looking forward to a day off on Friday, yesterday was a long day for me. Are you looking for a challenge? How about 2? Well, today I've got a card that covers 2 new challenges... Flutterby Wednesday and All That Scraps Wednesday challenge!!
This week's challenge with All That Scraps is to create a card with Fruits! How fun and I finally got a chance to use my Apple Nestabilities, aren't they the cutest! The stamp I've used is called Honey Teacher, she's perfect for back to school, thank you's and this challenge, LOL!
The next challenge I created my card for is Flutterby Wednesday. This week's challenge is a recipe challenge. You must have Sparkle, Printed Paper, and Buttons or Gems. So if you look closely, I've used my Martha Stewart Butterfly border punch for the butterflies. Sparkle is added to the star in her hair (I know it's hard to see, sorry) I've used printed paper and red pearls in the corners of my card.
Both of these are so much fun to join in, and combine! Hope you have a chance to join in!

Feelin' Cherry!

Hope all of you are doing your best to beat the heat! The weather's been so hot in most of the US. In the meantime I have tried to create a card that will hopefully cool you of a bit. It's time for a new challenge with Sassy Cheryl's!!
This week's challenge is to use Stitching on your card, either faux stitching or actual sewn stitches from your sewing machine. My image is called Little Chef. I was thrilled to find this cherry printed DSP from Stampin' Up, I'm glad I had some left over. I used my sewing machine to create my stitches.
Should you join us for the challenge you will have one week to participate, just be sure to use an image from Sassy Cheryl. Don't forget to stop by the blog for all the creations by the DT!

Cupcake Anyone?

Welcome to a brand new work week, I hope all of you had a fabulous, productive weekend!! I had a productive one, spent time with family and friends, did all the laundry and cleaning, and even had time to color a few images for the week.
The card I created is for the Monday Mania challenge which features my friend Joy. Since she loves to create shaker cards, that's what she wants us to create. This is my first shaped easel, they are fun to create!! For the shaker part of my card, I have added some glitter, dew drops and beads. I've also added some black dots to her pink dress.
My image is a new one from The Greeting Farm called Cupcake Anya. She's available as a digital image in the store.
I decided to keep the decorating of my card simple so the image will be the focal point. I love pink and red so of course they were incorporated for this Birthday card. It was great to be able to participate in a challenge aside of DT work. Hope you'll join the fun!! Have a great day!

Your Favorite Time of Year

Please scroll down for my Copic Creations post, thank you!
Welcome to Sunday's with Crissy!! First, an update on the challenges. From now on, the challenges for Sunday's with Crissy will be held once a month, on the first Sunday of each month. This will definitely give everyone a chance to join the fun!!
This month the challenge is to create a card or project with the theme of Your Favorite Time of Year. I had a hard time since there are a few favorites. So I chose Christmas. I love Halloween but figured that I should create a Christmas card because it's the time of year I give cards out the most.
This adorable image is called Zoe and Gemma's Snow Fun and can be purchased HERE. Should you join us for the challenge, the winner will receive a pad of designer papers and 5 of Crissy's digital images! How awesome is that!!

Hope you are enjoying your weekend and having a relaxing Sunday!! I'm back with the next challenge for Copic Creations. For the next 2 weeks the challenge is to create a card using an image that represent reflections. This could be anywhere from mirrors to water.
I didn't have an image that had a reflection that you could stamp. So, I had chose my image first, then I drew in the reflection. Well as you can see I can't really draw, and that just proves one of the reasons why I have stamps. =)
Should you participate, the winner of the challenge will win a Copic Class from friend and fellow Copic Creations DT member Suzanne Dean!! How awesome is that!! So search your stamp collection and join us for the fun!! I'll be back in a bit for Sunday's with Crissy!!

Christmas Stampin' with a little Instyle

Oh I can't believe I made it to Friday!! It really has been such a long week for me. Although it's been a very busy week it seemed to have gone by quite slow. Anyway this week's challenge for Christmas Stampin' All Year Long is to create a card using at least 2 different printed papers on your card.
This week, the DT were sponsored with digital images from InStyle Stamps. The image I used is called Scarf Chick. I love anime images and had created with this image before but used pastel colors for Christmas.
InStyle Stamps

The prize for the winner of this challenge will be 4 digital stamps from InStyle!! So, bring out your Christmas stamps and play along with us!!
I've not had a chance to really do much commenting on your blogs but will be making my rounds today!! I'm hoping things will not be so crazy in the days ahead. Have a great day!!

Tamiko's : Color Challenge

Aloha blogland! How's the weather treating you these days? If you say it's cold, you must live in Australia or an igloo, and I'd love to experience a cool Summer too!! But if you say it's hot, and humid I can totally relate! Lately it's been hot for sure... that's when I just love my air conditioner! We usually get trade winds here in Hawaii, but not so much in the past couple of days. With that said I can now introduce you to my card and some news.
Today we begin new challenges every Thursday with Tamiko's!! First we say aloha to Creative Team member and friend Linda, who had to step down from the team. We'll miss you!! But we now welcome Creative Team member Cami!!

This week's challenge is a color challenge, we'd like to see you create with the colors Orange, Yellow and Turquoise. Perfect Summer colors! The stamp I used is called Polka Dot Emma, from CC Designs. The sentiment also comes from CC Designs. One of the things I just love to use are dew drops! Never under estimate the power of a dew drop... they may be small but are a huge addition to cards and projects. Tamiko's has a variety of them HERE.
You'll have until next Wednesday to join us for the fun, be sure to use any stamp that Tamiko's carries in the store, and don't forget ANY order of $25 or more will qualify for FREE SHIPPING!! Hope you'll join us for the fun!! Have a great day!

Think Cool

I hope all of you are doing well, beating the heat and trying to "think cool". It's been pretty hot these past few days so when I thought of the colors I want to use I went straight for colors that were cool and calm. My card and box was created for All That Scraps and Flutterby Wednesday!
It's an open challenge for Flutterby Wednesday but be sure to use a fairy, angel or butterfly. The ATS Wednesday challenge is to use Die Cuts. I really wanted to use my die cuts and came up with using a Sizzix die cut. This die actually cuts chipboard, which makes your boxes more sturdy.
It's the perfect size that will hold a gift card. It's a short post for me today, here's wishing all of you a wonderful day!! Thanks for stopping by!

Pretty In Pink

It's time for a new and fun challenge with Sassy Cheryl's! This week's challenge is a color challenge and we'd like to see you create a card using Pink, Black and White. I have to say that this was a fun one for me since there's a whole lot of pink in it!!
My image is called A Sassy Fairy, she is one of Sassy Cheryl's first images. I kept to the colors of the challenge and just added some bling to the center of the punched stars and some stickles to her wings. You will have until next Monday to participate in the challenge, just be sure to use any image from the store and to follow the color challenge. Thanks for stopping by!

Lavender Little Witch

Please scroll down for my first post of the day, thank you!!
Hey everyone I am back today with another post, for a new weekly challenge with none other than Belles n' Whistles!! The challenge this week is to use the color Lilac/Lavender.
But I am also submitting my card into Elisabeth Bell's Digital DT Call!! I LOVE all of her stamps and images, it would be a dream to create for her directly!! If you are interested please view her detailed information HERE!!

The stamp I used is called Little Witch (she will be available in the store as we get closer to Halloween), I think she will always be my all time favorite stamp for Halloween! After coloring I did some airbrushing for the background and decided to try and make it look slightly mystical. So I used a light lavender (BV000) and a light grey (C3).
The papers I used is from a new line called Graphic 45 Halloween DSP, added some black and lavender paper flowers, and used my Martha Stewart Bat punch. Be sure to use a Belles n' Whistles stamp, and you will have until next Sunday to join us for the challenge! Thanks for stopping by!

Today a bunch of girls and I are participating in a Baby Shower blog hop for our sweet friend Kris! She is having a baby boy so all of the cards will most likely have some blue in them. If you have arrived from Cami's Blog you are in the right place, otherwise please start from the beginning at the Lollipop Crafts blog. There's even some yummy candy for you on the blog, but the only way you can qualify is by leaving a comment on each of the blogs in this hop. The winner will be chosen on Sunday 8/15/10.
Congratulations Kris!! We can't wait to see your new little bundle of joy!! If you'd like, go ahead and leave a comment on her latest post to congratulate her!! Saturday, August 7, 2010

I'm thrilled it's Saturday!! Before I continue with my post I must tell you that I am definitely not happy with my card at all. The way the coloring turned out just bothers me. BUT, I just didn't have time to start all over again. I hope you can bear with it until I put up my post for tomorrow.
Anyway, the stamp I used for my card today is called Dragon, and is from I Brake for Stamps.
Besides creating with all kinds of cute and sweet images, I love to work with fantasy and gothic images. I've not used a fantasy image in a long time so this was so much fun. I never thought I'd find these kinds of images in the store, but if you've not been there yet there are loads of stamps in all kinds of categories! If you'd like a discount on your purchase please use this code at checkout: SAVE10JODI.
Thanks for stopping by, see ya tomorrow for a sneak peek!!

A Keepsake

Hey everyone! It's project time with Christmas Stampin' All Year Long!! This week we are creating these adorable and useful boxes for the holidays.
I've included several views of the box so you can get an idea of what it looks like all around.
The image I used is from a retired stamp set from CC Designs. Isn't it a cute image!
Lastly, here is the box when it's opened. You'd be surprised how much you are able to fill in them!
Do you want to make this box too? Well, you can find the tutorial for that right HERE. I hope you will join us for the challenge, I love making 3D items and hope you do too!!
Thanks for stopping by, I will finally be making my rounds for commenting!

A Wee Witch

It's almost that time where we celebrate Halloween, it may seem far from now but this would be a good time to start to think about what you'd like to dress up as, or maybe even have your kids think about what they want to be so you can get their costumes made. Time flies and so does this little witch.
This image is called Witchy Chloe, and she can be found at InStyle Stamps. Doesn't she look like a sweet witch, not a wicked bone in her body! LOL!
I love the colors of this day and the pretty papers and accessories made for paper crafting. The printed paper is from a new line called Graphic 45 called Wonderland in Halloween. I also added some bats using my Martha Stewart punch.
Stop by InStyle Stamps to get this image for your Halloween cards or get other new Halloween images from the store too.

All Aboard!

Please scroll down for my second post of the day!!
Hey everyone, it's time for a new challenge with All That Scraps!! This week it's a color challenge using the colors Chocolate, Aqua and Kraft. So here's my take on the challenge.
I am using a stamps from the Honey collection, her name is Honey Sailor. I thought she looked great in these colors since it reminded me of the ocean. To make it look more aquatic I finally got a chance to use my Anchor punch from Martha Stewart!!
Hope you'll join us for the challenge this week!! Be sure to check out the new stamps available for purchase in the store, they are just way too cute to pass up!
I know I have been way behind commenting and visiting blogs and I plan to try and get to all of you today, I've been under the weather and have been trying to get lots of rest. Have a good one!!
