Smile for Summer!!

Hi All!! Those of you who read my blog will already know that I just love the Twilight Saga and just had to see the midnight showing of Eclipse!! So, this post will be going up at midnight Hawaii time which means I will have to tell you in my next post just how terrific this movie is. I imagine that it will be awesome!!
Well, it's Wednesday and that means we have a new challenge with All That Scraps!! This week we want to see you create a box in a bag!
One of the great things I love about these challenges is that I have never created one of these and have always wanted to. So, here's the very first one! The image I used is from the latest line of stamps from C.C. Designs called Honey, and this image is Summer. She is currently available in the store for you to purchase.
This photo was taken just to show you that I added some crystal lacquer to the inner tube that she sits in. To add a little decoration to the bottom of the bag I used some dew drops in various colors just to match the bag. The one thing I wanted to do was make the bag look as if it were a beach bag. So I added a couple of opened circles to the very top for handles. Do you think it looks like a beach bag? I hope so, oh well. A Figure Eight

Hey everyone, can you believe we're already headed into the month of July? I can't believe how fast the days are going by, it just makes me think I should be prepared to have Christmas cards before it's too late and I have no time to create. With that said, I have created a Christmas card for this week's Sassy Cheryl challenge. This week we want to see you create a card or project using the colors light blue and peach. The image I used is called Figure Eight Snowman. I have colored him with copics (of course) and glittered his body for sparkle. The paper I used is retired DSP from Stampin' Up, did some stitching with my sewing machine and used my Martha Stewart snowflake punch. I hope that you will join us for the fun!! Seeing Red?

How was your weekend, I hope a fun, relaxing but productive one? I had a great weekend and was able to get the house work done, spent some time with family and friends and managed to get some crafting done too!!
It's a brand new week and a new challenge with Belles n' Whistles! This week the challenge is for you to us the color RED. It can be a little or a lot. Red used to be my favorite color, and is every now and then.
Here's the card I came up with. The image I used is called Lil Miss Poppy. She was one of the very first images that started Belles n' Whistles. Isn't she adorable! One thing that I have been trying to do more is to create with sewing on my card. I have done some of that here and there and hope to do more with my future creations.
I kept this card pretty simple and just added some flowers and embellishments to complement the colors of the card. I have added some pretty paper flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, dew drops and a white satin ribbon. Happy Aloha Friday!! Whoo Hoo!! The weekend is here!! I love my weekends, can't you tell? LOL!! Welcome to another challenge with Christmas Stampin' All Year Long, this week we'd like to see you create using sewing/stitching. I love to use my Christmas stamps and create with all kinds of fun and cute papers. So the stamp I used is called Bear and Robin, it's from a line of Gillian Roberts stamps and can be found at All That Scraps. The paper that I used is from Kaiser Craft called The Christmas Carnival Collection and can be found at Stamp and Create. For the stitching of my card, I created zigzags. I love this stitch and find it to be a wonderful embellishment too!
I have added some stickles to the ground under the bear for snow and then used some flowersoft and stickles for the white parts of his hat. Last, I have added dew drops to the corners of each cardstock. I hope that you will join us for this sewing challenge, it really is a lot of fun!! Happy For Hanglars!!

I can't believe the weekend is almost here!! It has really been a long week for me thus far. I have a ton of things that need to get done and share with all of you before the reveal day! Yes, there are sneak peeks coming up for July, so stay tuned!! =)
I'm pretty happy today to share with you a card that I made using one of my Hanglar stamps for the new challenge blog called Lovely Hanglar Only!The challenge is to create a Shabby look to your creation. So, here's what I came up with. I really didn't want to create a very "busy" looking card so kept it simple and used some very pretty lace that I just received from my very sweet and dear friend Cami!! It was perfect timing when I received it because I was piecing this card together. She had sent me such pretty lace and gorgeous ribbons which I will be using for future cards and projects, thank you sooo much Cami, I love them all!!
For me, this time I wanted my shabby card to be of soft and subtle shades of pinks, greens, and browns. This is my second time tying several knots in the ribbon for decoration. It seems to work ok, I like trying different techniques and styles. I hope you are having a great day and enjoying the Summer sun!!

Birthday Elephant

I hope all is well with everyone in blogland! I just can't believe how quickly time flies, and in just about a week it will be July!! In a way, it would be great for the summer to fly by, the heat is rising pretty quick in some parts of the world. It's Tuesday and that can only mean it's time for a new challenge with Sassy Cheryl's!! This week's challenge is to create a Birthday card~ how fun and easy is that!! We all love to share our cards with those we love so this is a perfect time to create and participate with us. The image I am using today is called Birthday Elephant, and was created for my niece who will be 3 years old this August.
She currently loves a cute little elephant that she watches on her Curious George DVD, named Cayla. I think she will get a kick out of this card and will surely recognize this adorable birthday elephant. There are loads of cute and fun birthday images from Sassy Cheryl's and you don't even have to use an image that was specifically created for birthdays too!! Just remember, the possibilities are endless! I hope you will join us for the fun!!

Happy Father's Day!!

Today is Father's Day!! I hope all of you are having a great day!! I'll be heading on over to my parent's home to celebrate Father's Day and can't wait to just relax and have fun!!
Well, it's time for a new challenge with Sunday's with Crissy! This challenge will run for a total of 4 weeks, instead of 2weeks. So, this means you will have more time to join us for the fun. This challenge is called Monochromatic Coloring.
I really LOVE this challenge!! It's one of my favorites because all you need is one color with various shades. I've used my copics of course, and colored this cute digital image drawn by Crissy from Wags n' Whiskers called A Good Book. Instead of keeping things to only dark colors, I decided to add some color to only one part of my image ( do you see it?). So, then I decorated the card using pink accessories.

Happy Aloha Friday!! Things have been pretty crazy for me these days and I've playing catch up with my sleep this week. I hope to get back into the swing of things this weekend.
Well, it is time for a new challenge with Christmas Stampin' All Year Long!! This week the team and I would like to see you get Vintage. I LOVE the vintage look but I think I need more practice with it. It's not a technique that I have really used in the past, it's something that just grew on me. Here's the card I made with an adorable Greeting Farm image.

Hey everyone!! Are you ready for a challenge? Well, get your thinking caps on and bring out your copics too, today begins a new challenge with Copic Creations!! We would like to see you color using any kind of paper other than white. So, no white cardstock. For the challenge I have used a cream/vanilla cardstock. It actually was the perfect paper to match these gorgeous papers from Basic Grey. My image is called Cheeky Beauty and she can be found at Tamiko's! She went perfectly as I had created my vintage type card.
I have added some bling to her crown, drew in the lines for her stockings, added giant prima flowers and some cream colored lace too. I hope that you will join us for the challenge, it will begin today and end on June 30. Looking forward to see what kind of papers you will use!!

It's Summer Time!!

This is just the beginning of Summer... how are all of you enjoying it? One thing for sure is that things are starting to heat up!! One place that's heating up is Tamiko's!! Tamiko's has a new challenge for you this month which is to create a Summer themed card AND is has to be a shaker card. Here's what I came up with for my Summer shaker card. The image I used is from Tamiko's and is called Cheeky Mate. She reminded me of the 4th of July and that makes me think of Summer. I love watching the fireworks on the 4th of July!
My shaker card was filled with tiny beads and silver glitter sprinkles. I love shaker cards because you can fill them with whatever you want and they make anyone happy! Yippee!!

It's time for a new challenge with Sassy Cheryl's!! Cheryl creates such cute and fun images, AND she creates them SO quickly!! I love all of them and sometimes can't decide which ones to use first, LOL!! So, this week I finally decided on this image called No More School. I love this image because you could use it for any occasion, such as a promotion, retirement, welcome home!! Endless possibilities!! Anyway, the challenge this week is to create your own flowers. I created some flowers that were on the smaller side. I used a punch, distressed the edges and layered them. Next I crumpled the flowers and re-opened them and added a dew drop for the center.
I was trying to go for the Clean and Simple card so I chose to do smaller flowers. I hope that you will join us for the challenge this week, just be sure to use an image from Sassy Cheryl's and to create your own flowers. Thanks so much for stopping by!!

I hope all of you had a wonderful weekend, I sure did and have enjoyed the 3 day weekend!! Today begins a new challenge for Belles n' Whistles, every Monday begins a new one. Remember that if you choose to participate with us, you must create with a Belles n' Whistles stamp.
This week's challenge was chosen by Lynda and she wants to see you create with Buttons and Bows. The stamp I have used is called Kitty Love. I loved coloring this image and how fun it was to also use the new Basic Grey papers called Max and Whiskers. These papers are perfect for any and all kinds of animal images.

Hey everyone!! Hope you are enjoying your day! Here in Hawaii most of us are on a holiday, it is Kamehameha Day! Today's image is a digital image and was beautifully drawn by the one and only Elisabeth Bell!! She is the artist of all those adorable Belles n' Whistles stamps! This adorable cutie is called Ginnie Gliding with Butterflies. As soon as I saw this image I immediately thought of the 80's and rollerskating! I love rollerskating and remember having a blast with my sister. We had sooo much fun!!

Hello blogland! I've got something cute and fun to share with you today!! Do you recognize the image I am using for my card? YES! It's a Hanglar stamp!! I LOVE all of my stamps but must tell you that I have a deeper love for just one particular kind of stamp... you guessed it!!
They are cute, sweet and probably the most desired since they are pretty exclusive. Besides being exclusive, there's a new challenge blog dedicated to only Hanglar Stamps and can be found HERE. My sweet friend and DT member Iris, of Belles n' Whistles is on this DT and I just had to join in on the fun! My Hanglar stamps have never seen ink, until this week, LOL!!
The challenge is to create a card or project using the colors PINK and GREEN!! So here's my take on the challenge. I hope that you will have a chance to join in on the challenge too!!

Sunshine and Apples

Hey everyone! It's finally Thursday! What a long week this was for me. Hope all of you are doing fabulous!! Today I'm sharing with you a card I made using Sunhsine and Apples. She is just too cute and sweet! When I colored my image I wanted to use a color combination that I don't really use, and that is blue and gray. This is a very pretty color combo and since it seemed to have turned out nicely together. One of the things I have noticed when I create is that I seem to have the color pink with me all the time. I just think pink is a great color! Anyway, I had fun creating the card with and I hope that you will join in on the Belles n' Whistles challenge! You will be able to enter your card up until June 13th.

Bunnies Together

Happy hump day! It's finally the middle of the week, the past couple of days seemed rather long. Well, the good news is that it's a short work week for some of us here in Hawaii, Friday is a holiday and that means a wonderful 3 day weekend!!

I have chosen a super cute image called Bunnies Together, they are from a line of stamps from Wild Rose Studio. I fell in love with this line of stamps as soon as I saw them, they really are all just too cute!!

"Candy Girl, You Are My World..."

I can't stop thinking about that Michael Jackson song called Candy Girl... LOL! Welcome to a new challenge with Sassy Cheryl's!! I hope you enjoyed the theme I chose last week which was to use layers on your card. Well, this week I am the hostess again and have decided on embossing. You can do any kind of embossing on your card. The image I used for the challenge is called Candy Corn Girl. Here's an example of the card I made using embossing. The embossing I did was dry embossing. I used 2 different cuttlebug embossing folders for Halloween, a spider web and another that has various images in a circle.
I then added some stickles, half backed pealrs and ribbon for accents. There are so many fun and adorable images from Sassy Cheryl's to create with and I hope that you will be able to join us for the fun!! It's a quick and short post today, many thanks for stopping by!! Have a great day!

Belles n' Whistles Challenge Going Weekly!!

It's Monday and it's time for a challenge with Belles n' Whistles!! Instead of the challenges being every 2 weeks, they are now going to be every Monday! I love my Belles n' Whistles stamps and am thrilled to be able to create with them more often!
This week's challenge was Andrea's choice and she decided on Punches and Ribbon. So the stamp I am using is called Watering. Such a cute, sweet and fun stamp to create with. In yesterday's post you can see that I finally made the attempt to color fur and make those dogs look shaggy. Well, I decided to try and make some grass. I really need more practice on it but feel that it turned out "ok". For the challenge, I tied a bow and punched out some pink hearts to match her clothes.
My first photo is not a great one, the lighting was just too much and will have to replace it with a better one. The second photo is really what the colors look like on the card.
Bright and bold colors is what I felt at the time, added some dew drops to the corners, and some very pretty flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts! I also used a sketch from Friday Sketchers. I sure hope that you will join us for the challenge this week!

Relish To Embellish

Happy Sunday to all of you and welcome to another challenge for Sunday's With Crissy! I hope you had fun creating layers for the previous challenge!! This week we want to see how you embellish your cards! The image I decided to use for the challenge is called Doggie Pile and can be found at Squigglefly. I love all animals but I will say that dogs are my most favorite and just had to use these cuties!! I must tell you that I have never colored an image and actually tried to create fur for them. I was always wanting to try it but never did until now because I was afraid of how they would turn out. So, instead of always wondering how they would turn out I took the plunge and here's what they look like. It was surprisingly fun and quick! I think I would have probably spent more time trying to color it without the texture, LOL! Anyway, my goal was to make them look shaggy and I think they look pretty shaggy, LOL!!
So, to embellish my card I used dew drops, made a decent sized orange bow and added a paw print charm. Majority of us seem to love adding embellishments to our cards and I hope that you will join us for this challenge. Can't wait to see what you come up with!

ATS Sneak Peek Day #6: Say Cheese!!

I hope all of you have been enjoying the latest ATS sneak peeks for the past 5 days!! We are now on Day #6 and it is the last sneak peek for June but definitely CUTE! This new stamp set is from CC Designs and is called Say Cheese!!This set includes a girl with her camera which is why the name of the set is called Say Cheese. But, I wanted to create with the other stamps in the set and here are a few of them. Looks like both of them are having a great time camping!!
I loved coloring and creating this card since I rarely create cards for guys. But once I knew how I wanted to use them, it wasn't too bad. How many of you want to win this set? Oh Baby!

It's Day #5 of Sneak Peeks with All That Scraps!! Today's card was made with an older stamp set from a line of CC Designs called Gingersnaps. This set is called Oh Baby. I found this to be the best image to showcase our sneak peek which is Amy R's Baby Sentiments.
This Gingersnaps set is now available as a digital image which you can get HERE.
One of the great things about this new Baby Sentiment set are the words. I love that there are some short and long ones, they will definitely come in handy when you're needing the right words to say.

Christmas Stampin's Gift Set Challenge

I apologize for the late posting, I had internet problems last night which seemed to have been resolved this morning... I hope! It's the first Friday of the month and time for a project challenge with Christmas Stampin' All Year Long! The project is called a CD Envelope Pocket Mini Album. I personally just LOVE to create projects, especially if they are quick and easy!! I'm always looking for a fun and cute project that is not so time consuming.
