Mistletoe and Mice

We made it to Friday!! This means it's time for Christmas Stampin' All Year Long, this week the challenge is to create an easel card. I know many of you love making them. The image I have used in the challenge is called Mistletoe and Mice and is from Gillian F. Roberts. I think this line of stamps are SO cute, you can get this stamp and more HERE.
One of my favorite things about the easel card besides it standing up on it's own is being able to do a little decorating on the bottom of it. I'm not sure if you can see it in the photos but I dry embossed the blue card stock with my cuttlebug embossing folder then added the lace over it. I like to give it texture even if it has something covering it. The DP I used is from Basic Grey called Eskimo Kisses, one of my favorite non traditional Christmas color papers.
To create the holly berries and leaves I used my Martha Stewart punch called Holly Leaf, and used some red dew drops for the berries. I hope all of you will join in the fun in creating an easel card, you will have until next Thursday to enter your card and for a chance to be the host for the next challenge. Enjoy your day!

A Pocket Full of Posies

Can you believe that April is coming to an end, the days pass so quickly! Where does the time go... Well, this week I had a chance to squeeze in a card for fun. I love all of the challenges out there and want to participate in all of them. One of the challenges that I have been wanting to do for a while is with Kraftin' Kimmie. I loved these stamps since their debut! This week the challenge is "Lots of Flowers", and I chose to use this stamp called Posy, isn't she cute!
Another challenge that I participated in is Friday Sketchers. You can find this week's sketch HERE. When I made this card I knew I wanted to use orange and blue together, so I picked out some primas in those colors and added some stickles for sparkle. I also used my Martha Stewart leaf punch and dew drops. One of my favorite additions to the card was the lace. I used it to resemble the lace at the bottom of her dress. Lastly, I did some stitching on each of the panels.
I'm so glad I finally got to ink this stamp up and join in the fun! I hope that you will have a chance to play in a few challenges of your own too! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Clean and Simple... Pink and Brown

It's the middle of the week and that means it's time for a new challenge with Flutterby Wednesday and All That Scraps! This week the challenge for Flutterby Wednesday is to create a Clean and Simple card, and the challenge for All That Scraps is to use Pink and Brown.
Well, clean and simple cards are a challenge for me since I love to embellish but it was fun!
The pink and brown color combo is one of my favorite combos and found it easy to create with. This challenge with All That Scraps is going to be for 2 weeks, then we will be back to a new challenge each week. There will be a wonderful prize of a $25 gift certificate, and I don't think you will want to miss out on it!! The image I am using here is from the Swiss Pixies Stamp Kit#1 and can be purchased until April 30th. Get your set soon!
This is one of my favorite images in the set. I decided to paper piece her dress which gave her a nice pattern, and glittered her wings. I was not so pleased with the coloring of her on this card as I had created this card on a whim trying to complete all of my projects for the week to get ready for the upcoming new release with All That Scraps for the month of May... They are cute!! =)
Please join us for the fun with Flutterby Wednesday and All That Scraps!
This week we are saying goodbye to Chris and Shana from Flutterby Wednesday, we will miss you both! Happy hump day!

A Rainy Day Ride

Hello everyone! Yesterday I took a day to do some cleaning in my craft room which is why there was no post. I think it will take me more than just a day since I am still in the process of un mounting my stamps from the wood. Anyway I'm back and it's time for a new challenge with Sassy Cheryl's! This week the challenge is to create a White on White card.
I love making these cards since they really make the image stand out so beautifully. The image I chose is called Rainy Day Ride. I loved it when Cheryl first drew it! It's cute, fun and for occasions like a Spring card, or a baby shower.
To create the card, I used my Martha Stewart Garden Trellis border punch, and tied a white satin ribbon over it. Then to create the 2 lines above and below my image I used my scor-pal. Love that tool! I hope that you will join us for the challenge, just be sure to use an image from Sassy Cheryl's and to create a white on white card. For more inspiration, check out what the rest of the DT has created by clicking on their names below. Many thanks for your visit and I'll see you on your blogs! =)

Hang In There

Happy Sunday everyone! Today I've got something special to share with you. The Copic Creations Design Team were chosen as Guests for this week's challenge with Crissy Armstrong's new challenge blog called Sunday's With Crissy!! I was of course thrilled to be invited and could not wait to get started!! So, here is the image that I chose to work with. This is a digital image called Hang In There, isn't he cute! You can purchase this digital image and more from Crissy here at Whimsy Stamps.
Sunday's with Crissy is a digital image challenge that takes place every other Sunday of the month. You must use a digital image created by Crissy to participate. This challenge is to create a card or project with Dots. So I chose to use some paper that had dots and then I decided to use my cuttlebug folder and create a dry embossed image of some flowers with circles (they kind of represent dots). Then I used my circle nestabilities to create bigger dots.
Here's a close up of the image. I tried to get a photo of the shell because I have added some crystal lacquer to him to make the shell shiny. I have also added a small amount of glitter to the center of the flowers too. Well I hope you will join in on the challenge, and remember you will have 2 weeks to complete your card. Be sure to check out what the rest of the Copic Creations DT has created for Crissy as guest designers HERE! Thank you Crissy for having me as a guest, I am truly honored!! Have a great Sunday everyone!!

Milk and Cookies Anyone?

Happy Aloha Friday everyone! Today brings a new challenge with Christmas Stampin' All Year Long! We've had some awesome entries last week and can't wait to see what you will create this week with a sketch. For my Christmas card I used the very cute Baking Santa from the Whiff of Joy collection. I love how cute and sweet his face is! There are quite a few poses of these cute Santa images in the store too.To keep him looking like he is wearing a Santa suit, I colored his slippers black. I believe he is ready to bake up some chocolate chip cookies to accompany his tall, cold glass of milk!!
One thing I wish I added to my card was flowersoft. I actually pieced this card together on my lunch break at work but left the flowersoft at home and had to post it asap. I guess I will add that later on.
I hope that you will join us for the fun, and remember that should you join us, you could be the next guest designer for our challenge and be featured on the blog too!! For more inspiration from the design team click HERE! Thanks so much for your visit today, wishing you a great Friday!!

Dark Royalty

Can you believe it's already Thursday? I can just remember telling all of you last week that the weekend has finally arrived. Anyway, today I have finally had a chance to post this card I made using a stamp from Sweet Pea Stamps. This is my first time coloring one of their images, I actually have a few of their stamps and have been wanting to ink them up for a long time.
The name of this stamp is called Dark Royalty. I love how detailed the images are and although there are lots to color, it really is a beautiful stamp to color. I had created this card for my sweet friend Cami, she happened to be my OCS (one card swap) partner for the month of March.
In this photo you can see that I have added some stickles to the image and the outer frame and I also added some crystal lacquer to her tail for some shine. One of the things I wanted to do was some sewing on the card but never had my sewing machine out in time. Thank you for your visit today and I hope you are having a great day!!

You Make Me Happy

Thank you for visiting me today! It's Wednesday and it's time to challenge yourself with Flutterby Wednesday and All That Scraps!! The challenge this week with All That Scraps is for you to create a card using any image from the store and do some sewing on your card. This means you can do faux stitching or actual sewing. I decided to sew on my card since I have never used my machine for a very long time! This was a challenge in itself.. LOL!
The challenge for Flutterby Wednesday is for you to follow this sketch which was created by Mercy Kerin. I love sketch challenges and was thrilled to work with this one! The image and sentiment I used for my card is from the newest kit called the Swiss Pixies Kit #1 and can be purchased from the All That Scraps store until April 30th, so if you didn't get your kit and want one, hurry on over!
I love these Swiss Pixies and can't get enough of working with them! The papers and flowers I used can also be purchased at the store.
I colored my image with my copics and airbrushed the background. To participate in both challenges be sure to upload your creation by next Tuesday. Have fun and I can't wait to see what you come up with! Have a great hump day!

Get It! Get It!

It's Tuesday and time for another challenge with Sassy Cheryl!! This week's challenge is a sketch challenge, which means you can use any image in the store from Sassy Cheryl's just as long as you follow the sketch below. The image I used is called Fly Swatter.
I was pretty excited to be able to use this image because the first thing that came to mind was my hubby!! I am seriously afraid of insects and things... you name it, lizards, geckos, roaches! Oh they are so disgusting and I just have the hardest time killing them. I am ok with ants and flies but those others are the worse!! So, whenever I see a roach I scream and tell him to Get It! But if it's a gecko, I don't want him to kill it but at least take it outside of the house. I know there are most of you who agree with me and there are a good handful of you who will just kill them on your own. I give you credit for doing that! LOL! Anyway I made this card for him and gave it to him the other day, he couldn't stop laughing!!
Thanks to Sassy Cheryl, it was the perfect image for an out of the ordinary card!
I hope that you will join us for the sketch challenge! Please check out the rest of the talented creations from the DT on the challenge blog!! Many thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

It's Laundry Day...Again

Welcome to Monday!! Did all of you have a great weekend? I sure did and hope you did too!! Well, one of the things I hate doing but needs to get done is the laundry. I usually don't mind it but when I have plans and put it off, it becomes a chore. So, with that said here's a card I made using Belle with Laundry. This card was made for a new challenge that starts today with the Roses on Paper/Belles n' Whistles challenge blog. This time we are provided with a sketch challenge.
I love sketch challenges because they are so much fun and can be interpreted in so many ways. Here is the sketch were using for the next 2 weeks!

This adorable stamp can be found in the store under the Spring Cleaning collection. I used a sentiment from a set from TGF. I always wish I could snap my fingers and the house will be cleaned in a snap!! LOL! But I really think that this would be a wonderful card to use for Mother's Day. You could use a sentiment that says either Happy Mother's Day or Thank You.
I sure hope that you will join us for the challenge and be sure to check out the blog for more details and inspiration from the rest of the DT!! Have a great day!!

I'm So Happy!

Hi Everyone!! I just have to say that I am so happy because Crissy Armstrong who happens to be one of my most favorite artists has come up with a challenge blog! I loved her work from when I first discovered that she was an artist with High Hopes Stamps.
She does not only have her very own challenge blog going on right now but is currently looking for a new Design Team and of course I had to try out for it!! I just could not resist!! So, if you would like to join in on the challenge or have a chance at her DT, click HERE for all of the details!!

The adorable image I used to create my card is called Maddie and Mel's Pumpkin Fun, and this can be found at Squigglefly. Crissy has lots of adorable images to choose from and believe me it was so hard to choose!! I love animals and have a fur puppy at home so I had to go with these little guys!

Have fun and have a great rest of the weekend!!

To "Die" For...

It's Aloha Friday, no work 'til Monday!! Well, the title of my post says it all! This week's challenge for Christmas Stampin' All Year Long is to create a Christmas card using your dies. This can be anything from nestabilities to Sizzix dies or even your cricut. I actually used 2 in this card.
First I cut Hello Kitty from my cricut, then I cut the background using my nestability dies. To get the Santa hat, I stamped it from a set from The Greeting Farm and paper pieced it, then ran it through my cuttlebug folder to get the dots, and used a different cuttlebug folder for the background. Next, I added some white flowersoft to the white part of the hat.
This was such a fun challenge and hope you will join us for it!! I know there are lots of you out there with your adorable Hello Kitty dies and Hello Kitty cricut cartridges, so bring them out and play... think of it this way, you can get your cards for Christmas done in no time!!
Remember that your card could be chosen as the winning card of the week which means you will be the host for the next Christmas Stampin' challenge!! Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!!

Stamping & Drinking Do Mix!!

What were you thinking? No, no, not that kind of drinking, LOL!! But I did get your attention right? Well, today is not only tax day but also time for 2 NEW Challenges!! First, is a card I created for the Copic Creations Challenge where, we'd like to see you color black hair.
This challenge we were so lucky and honored to be sponsored by The Greeting Farm. I decided to color something different other than Ian and Anya or Oliver and Amelia. This image I chose to work with is called Chibi-Drink. She is happily serving up whatever you fancy!
I had lots of fun coloring her and at the end, added some crystal lacquer to the glass to make it shine. I hope you will join in on the fun, you will have until April 30th to enter and have a chance at winning an awesome prize!!
My next card was created for a new challenge with Tamiko's!! The challenge is to create a card using any The Greeting Farm image she has in the store and to use any nestability on your card. How fun and easy is that!!
Since I have not used her yet, I used Stamping Anya! I love her shirt, I wonder if they make them in my size? LOL! I had lots of fun creating with her and decided to use a layout from this week's Mojo Monday.
I hope that you will join us at Tamiko's for some stamping fun too! Check out the blog for more details on the challenge, and I can't wait to see what you will create!! Looks like it's almost the weekend, I can't wait to relax and have some fun... Saturday is near yet so far away!! =)
Hope you all have a wonderful day!

You've Got Real A-Peel!

Happy hump day! It's Wednesday and that means it's time for another challenge with All That Scraps and Flutterby Wednesday!! I look forward to these challenges and hope you do too! The challenge for All That Scraps is to do distressing on your card. I have done a little distressing on the brown piece of cardstock and a little on the yellow DP but it's hard to see that here.
The challenge for Flutterby Wednesday is an open one which means you can create in any style or technique but be sure to use a butterfly, fairy or angel on your card.
The image I used here is from one of the latest releases by Amy Young called Fruit of the Month Banana. She can be purchased at All That Scraps. I hope that you will join in on both of these awesome challenges, I can't wait to see what you will create!! Come back tomorrow for a new challenge with Copic Creations!!

When's Tee Time?

Yesterday it was Tea Time, today is a different kind of Tee Time! It's a brand new challenge today with Sassy Cheryl's!! This week the challenge is to create a card with one of the boy images and to use the colors Blue and Cream. This image is called Sassy Boy Golfer.
First, I am so glad to be making a card for a guy since they are rather hard to make. I think this image is perfect for all occassions so I turned my card into a Birthday one. This card will be in my stash until it gets closer to give this card to a guy who enjoys golfing, and that would either be my hubby or FIL. There are such cute images in the store that you can use for guys so check them out now!!
Since guy cards are ones that I really like to keep simple and not embellish much, I decided to add some crystal lacquer to the golf club and golf ball. I tried to get a photo of it here. It does show the shine but not as much as I'd like. Well, I sure hope that you will join us for the challenge this week, it's a fun and simple one too!! Remember that when you join us for the challenge, you have a chance to be the top 3 creations and win a badge for your blog from Cheryl!! Can't wait to see your creations! Have a wonderful day!

It's Tea Time!!

It's the beginning of a new week and to start it off right, I have used one of the newest stamps from Belles n' Whistles stamps called Tea Time! I decided to create using various shades of blues and purples.
The type of card I made is called a Joy Fold card which can be found here. I love making cards like this because the person who receives it will have fun just lifting up the layers to get to the center.
I have used some purple bling for the center to decorate the scalloped edge. It's not a great photo to see the shine.
For the center of the card, I used a small stamp so that there would be more room to write your message. My paper and accessories are all from Roses on Paper. I hope all of you had a great weekend, thanks for stopping by!!

Catching Snow

It's Aloha Friday, and I am so happy that the weekend is here! This week went by very quickly. Welcome to another challenge with Christmas Stampin' All Year Long, this week the challenge is to create a card using the colors Purple, Gold, Ivory and White. I must admit that this challenge was pretty challenging for me, I guess because I don't really use these colors for Christmas... but it was a great challenge! Otherwise, why else would it be called a challenge right?
Anyway, the image I chose to work with is from Sassy Cheryl's Store and is called Catching Snow. She has got some fun snowman and Christmas images to work with. These digital images are fun to color!
Remember that when you join in on the challenges, the team will be voting on your card and the winning participant will be invited as a guest designer for the following week's challenge. I hope that you will join us and I can't wait to see what you will create!! Have a great Friday!!

An Easter OCS

Oh, time sure flies!! I can't believe that it's April already. Well, last month I was partnered with my sweet friend Cami for my March OCS (one card swap). Here is the gorgeous card I received in the mail!! Don't you just LOVE it!! For those of you not familiar with the OCS, it's a swap that takes place monthly and is set up by my friend Teri.
I just love all of the details that she added to the card and the pretty coloring too!! This card is called a tent card and you can see the dimension of it in this photo. I LOVE my Magnolia stamps but just have no time to play with them. Cami, LOVES her Magnolia stamps too and does wonderful work on them all the time, wish I could too!! Thank you Cami, I am truly blessed to have you for a friend and to have received this beautiful card!!

Flutterby and Clover Greenfield

Happy hump day!! Wednesday's are for a Flutterby challenge and the All That Scraps challenge. First, the card I made is for the All That Scraps Wednesday challenge and we want you to create a shaped card.
So, I decided to use a nestability for the shape. The image is a NEW one that you can purchase today! Her name is Clover Greenfield. I love these fairies, they are also perfect for use with Flutterby Wednesday too!
Onto the next card. This week the Flutterby team was sponsored by Stef aka Glitterbabe! Stef is a former Flutterby Wednesday DT member. She drew a few butterflies for us to use in this week's challenge so here's what I did with my butterfly.
This was so much fun to color and put together. Remember to create your card, upload it to the Flutterby challenge blog. I can't wait to see what all of you will be creating for this challenge!!
Have a wonderful day!!

Sassy Cheryl's

Hey there!! I just wanted to let everyone know that I have had some trouble with commenting on blogs the past 2 days and if I have not left you a comment please know I am currently trying to figure out what is going on.
Well, it is time for another fun challenge with Sassy Cheryl's!! Don't you just love her images, I am always so excited to see what's new from her, but I also want to create with the older images too.
The challenge this week is to create a card with a Sassy Girl image, and use a ribbon too. So I decided to use the adorable Teacher's Pet. My sweet niece will be going to pre-school this August and this would be the perfect card to give her on that special day!!
I added some crystal lacquer (diamond glaze) to the apple for a 3D effect. If you've joined us last time, you will see that we now have the top 3 choices of last week's challenge. This means you can get a blinkie to post to your blog for being the "top 3"!! I sure hope that you will join us for this week's challenge, there are lots of images of girls to use at the Store!! The first card I am using Basic Grey's Kioshi paper and the next card I have used Cosmo Cricket's Garden Variety Paper. They are so very different from each other but I love them both.
