Spring Bling & A Color Challenge

Hey everyone, it's hump day!! This week is really going by very quickly for me... it's good and bad. Good because the weekend is near and bad because I've got lots of NEW images to share with you and so little time to make something with them! The fun begins tomorrow and throughout the weekend so you will definitely want to check back here!! Today my card was made for Flutterby Wednesday and The All That Scraps Wednesday Challenge.
The Flutterby Wednesday Challenge is to use Blue, Green and White on your card, and the All That Scraps Challenge is to use some kind of Bling or Sparkle.
The image I am using today is called Darby and Bumbles. I decided not to use bumbles(who is a bee) just because I was going to use butterflies instead. To accent my card I am using some orange prima roses that I got from All That Scraps. I love these roses, not too big or too small.

For the bling part of my card I used some stickles on the flowers and on the centers of the butterflies. I also added a little glitter to the center of the flower that Darby holds, and then added a single dew drop. I am going to really try hard this time to add all of the copics that I used for each card I make. Sometimes I forget to write the colors down before I am ready to put the pens back. Anyway, I can't wait to see what all of you will come up with for these challenges.

All Aboard!!

Happy Tuesday everyone, I hope you are having a great day!! Today is a brand new challenge for Sassy Cheryl's and the challenge is to do distressing on your card! I have wanted to use this image for such a long time and now I found it to be perfect for this challenge. This little guy is called Conductor.

I thought distressing was perfect for a boy card, I guess because it's more rough looking. One of the other things that I was SO excited to use was my Martha Stewart Train punch!! I love that it matches him perfectly!!
The last thing I added to my card was some crystal lacquer (It's hard to see it here in this photo) to his whistle, hat and shoes. In addition to our random drawing for a gift certificate, we're doing something special. The Sassy Girls will be picking their top three favorites from this week's entries. Let's Get Crafty!

I hope all of you had a great weekend, I sure did!! Besides cleaning, doing the laundry and making some changes to our house, I was able to set some time aside to get crafty with some friends! First, This is the blog candy that I won from Joni who is celebrating her 1 year blogaversary, thanks so much Joni!! I love Hello Kitty and pink!!
We all got together and made all different kinds of Easter things to share with each other. The first is a basket I made using a template I got from HERE. It's really cute and I love the scalloped edges.

Next is a RAK from Joni, she made this adorable sleeve with a cute Baby Bunny and when you pull the ribbon...

Up comes an adorable stamp!! Who wouldn't LOVE to get a stamp!!

Next is a cute basket from Joy, she used another Baby Bunny, isn't he cute too!!

This adorable and sweet basket is from 1 Luvn Mama, she is so sweet and we finally got to meet in person!! Hiya girl!!

This next RAK is from Michelle, she really knows the way to my heart with this cute Hello Kitty and that it's a pink basket!!

This next RAK is from Joy of Tamiko's!! That's right, Tamiko's the online Store!! This adorable bunny is from a Hello Kitty Sizzix line. Too sweet!

Last but not least is a sweet basket from Teri, she too knows that Hello Kitty is my favorite!! Actually I think the entire group of girls LOVE Hello Kitty!!

Teri also did a make and take that day. She taught us how to create a double shaker card. Here is the front of the card. I got lucky and didn't have to color my own image, Joy colored her for me (she did an awesome job too)!! Thanks Joy!

Here is a side view of what the card looks like as a double shaker. You can see the 2 layers, one holds the dew drops while the other has the finer glitter and beads.

Got Coffee??

Happy Saturday everyone!! For this week's Saturday Spotlight challenge, the Spotlight Divas would like you to create something with coffee in mind and I know there are lots of you who love coffee!! You don't have to use coffee images for this challenge, you can take inspiration from the colors you think of in coffee like tan, brown, black and cream. Our sponsor this week is The Cutting Cafe.
I decided to go simple this challenge and stick to the words for the focal point. The sentiment and coffee bean background are all from The Cutting Cafe. A Long Winter's Nap

It's Friday!! Time for a new challenge with Christmas Stampin' All Year Long! This week we want to see you create a card with embossing. You can do either wet or dry embossing or both! I decided to go with dry embossing and used my snowflake cuttlebug folder. It's not so easy to see in this photo, it was a pretty sunny day when I took the picture.
The image I used is from Whipper Snapper Designs, I love that the penguin is sleeping on this bear! So cute!

One other thing I did add to my card is white flowersoft. I realized that when I took the picture I should have used a mix of both white and light blue flowersoft for it to show up better. BUT, I did make another discovery for the use of my copics!! I was able to color my white flowersoft with my dark blue copic pen to get a little of it to show up on the card. You can see it much better in the photo here.

Today I decided to create a basket featuring Easter Anya! She was once a digital image during the earlier days of TGF but is now a stamp. She IS NOW available for purchase at Tamiko's so check the store! I wanted to create an Easter basket as soon as I got the stamp.
Here is what it looks like from the side. Of course I had to make it pink, it's my favorite color and looks great for Easter!! I got the idea in this post HERE. Now, I know you can't see it really well in my photos but it is actually a weaved basket. You may have to click on the photo to see it better.
This is the front view of the basket and what Easter Anya looks like. Isn't she adorable!

I also added some flowers and a bow to the back of my basket. If I have a chance to create another one before Easter it will be a different color. Maybe a pastel blue or something more masculine for my hubby! LOL!

How are all of you doing today? I hope fine. I'm still trying to get back into the swing of things here in blogland since I returned from my trip yesterday. So, I may not get to comment right away but will definitely be getting around to you soon. My card for you today was made for this week's Flutterby Wednesday and All That Scraps Challenge. This week's Flutterby Challenge is open so create with anything that has a butterfly, pixie or fairy.
The All That Scraps Wednesday challenge is a sketch. I know there are many of you out there that love sketches so join us for the fun!!

The image I used is from the Sweet November line created by Amy Young. This image is apart of a few other stamps called Baby Bunnies, and this one is called Butterfly. I think they are so adorable! I love the sweet baby looks which is perfect for infants at Easter time. One thing I wanted to share with you is the way I did the yellow background on this image. I usually airbrush it but wanted to do something different so I sponged the background instead. I like both techniques. This one just gives more texture than the airbrushing.

Hippity, Hoppity, Easter's On It's Way!

How are all of you doing? I hope you had a great weekend!! I sure did, my hubby and I just returned home from our trip to Las Vegas with a few friends and had a great time!! Vacations are always busy and short but extremely tiring. This is when I always say I need a vacation after a vacation... KWIM?
Anyway, it's time for a new challenge with Sassy Cheryl's Challenge! This week we'd like to see you create a card or a 3D item with an Easter image.
I made a card using an image called Butterfly Bunny. I love this cute image and decided to use some bolder pinks and yellows rather than the traditional pastel for Spring. I think it still looks like it's for Spring. To off set the bold colors I used some pastel pink flowers and pastel dew drops.

I've also added some punched out butterflies and some grass using my Martha Stewart punches. Hope you'll join in on the fun with this week's challenge!! Don't forget to check out the rest of the DT's creations too!! Have a great day!!

What Color Are You?

CSAYL: An Inspiration

Are you ready for Christmas?? I know you're not, so why not get ahead at least with your Christmas Cards! This week at Christmas Stampin' All Year Long, the challenge is to create a card using an inspiration photo. So here's what I came up with.

Below is the inspiration photo that we used to create our cards. These photos are always fun just because it's a great way to create a card and to see what you can get out of it.

The stamp I used is a cardinal from a Stampin' Up set called Cardinal Holiday. I never used the set before but always knew that I would. So here it is all inked up!

I also used my nestabilities for the circle and scalloped circle as well as a label nestability for the sentiment. Last but not least I used my Martha Stewart leaf punch. The team and I would love to see what you will create using this photo. Remember to upload your creation to the Christmas Stampin' blog and you will have from now until Thursday night!

Belles n' Whistles Spring-Cleaning & Summer Blog Hop

Hi everyone, I am on a mini vacation for a few days but will be back next week. This post and the rest of the next few posts will be on Auto Post. Happy St. Patty's Day to all of you! It's hump day and this means it's time for a new challenge with Flutterby Wednesday and All That Scraps. My first card was made for Flutterby Wednesday which is to use green and/or Shamrocks. I went with green and this is how it turned out. This week our sponsor is Paper Make Up Stamps.
The image I used is called Isabella. The dress was colored rather splotchy and that's probably when I was falling asleep. I've been extremely busy these past few days. Anyway, there is also a prize for the winner of this Flutterby Wednesday challenge... go check it out now!

On The Beach

COPIC CREATIONS 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY!!

Happy Monday! Today we are celebrating the 1 year anniversary of the Copic Creations Challenge blog!! There are so many wonderful creations made by the team and some awesome things going on. First, here's my card for the Anniversary, the image is from Sassy Cheryl's called Marker Artist. I felt she was SO appropriate for today!!

I had fun coloring her and decided to add some designer paper that had some bold colors. I love orange so I just had to use it for her.

You're So Slick!

I hope all of you are enjoying your weekend! This week's challenge with Saturday Spotlight is called You're So Slick, and what we want to see are things that are smooth, and shiny. Our sponsor this week is Sassy Studio Designs and here's the image I've used.
For the shiny parts of my card I used some crystal lacquer on the bathtub but just could not get a good photo of it. Each of the pictures were just too shiny, LOL! You can only see a little of it on the very top of the tub. Another shiny and smooth item I added were some pearls to the centers of my flowers, I thought they went well with the theme of a bathtub ( I was thinking bath pearls).

Want Something To Do on the Weekend?

Are you ready for the weekend, I know I am. Today I've got a few things to share that will hopefully inspire you to have a creative weekend. First, I finally made a card to participate in the Alice In Wonderland Challenge blog. I love Alice In Wonderland and am so happy that they made a new movie for it and now a crafting challenge blog. So the image I used is from TGF and her name is Royal Pain. The challenge this week is to create using the colors red, purple and blue.
My next card was created for All That Scraps and this week we are reviewing a few of the latest stamps. I chose to create a card using the set Time for Cake. It has all kinds of cute images and wording to match. I was on a roll with using pastel colors and applied it here on this card too!

Last but not least, is a card made for this week's challenge at Christmas Stampin' All Year Long. The challenge is to create a card by making an odd shaped card. This means no circles, and squares. I chose the octagon from my nestability supply. The image I chose is from Pink Cat Studio.

Flutterby Wednesday's 100th Challenge

Today marks the 100th Challenge for Flutterby Wednesday!! This challenge blog has really blossomed! Congratulations to Danni for starting this challenge blog!! In honor of the 100th challenge, the DT and I wanted to surprise Danni so we all created these adorable butterfly boxes.
I decided to keep my boxes CAS. When creating my box, I dry embossed the front and back with my cuttlebug folder, used my butterfly nestability and added some half pearls in the centers of the butterflies.
