Copic Creations: Sparkle

Happy hump day everyone, today is a new challenge with Copic Creations!! For the next 2 weeks the challenge is to create a card using Sparkle!! I love glitter and it's definitely perfect for this time of year. The team was generously sponsored by Just Rite Stamps, and have made holiday cards with them.
The set I am using here is called Old Fashioned Christmas Set, and it has 4 wonderful holiday images with 4 interchangeable borders. One of the great things I love about these stamps are how versatile they are and how they go so perfectly with Spellbinders!! If you've never used these stamps before, you've really got to!
I have tried to get good photos of my card to show the sparkle on the snowman and around the spellbinders die cut but only a small amount of that shows here. In this second photo you can see that I have used my cuttlebug embossing folder on the red cardstock and not only the white background.
I hope that you'll join us for this challenge, we'll be back in January 2011 with the next one!!

Ice Cream Anyone?

I don't know about you, but sometimes I just love to eat something cold when the weather is cold!! It could be some shaved ice, or ice cream, yum! Well, this brings me to today's new challenge with Sassy Cheryl's, which is to create a card using snowmen!!
I think we all know and agree that Cheryl creates the most adorable snowmen, and here I have used one named Ice Cream Snowman.
Take a look at his yummy sundae!! I think these images are the most fun to color and work with. I know most of you are also very busy with the holidays and have not really had time to even post on your blogs or visit each other but I hope that somewhere in this hustle and bustle time of year you'll relax and take a few hours to spoil yourselves by creating!! Come join us today for this challenge, or join us for Color Me Tuesday and Show Me Thursdays with Sassy Cheryl's!! You will love them all!!

Head on over to Marie's blog to wish her a Happy Birthday and enter for a chance to win her birthday blog candy!!
Well, I've still got some shopping to do and hope that I finish it all by the end of this week!
Have a great day and many thanks for your visit...hoping I have time to visit all of you later today!! =)

A Winter Princess

Please click HERE for Elisabeth Bell's December digital blog hop!!

WOW! Can you believe we've got only 12 more days until Christmas!! Time really just flies! This weekend I was really in the mood for just about everything Christmas, I listed to Christmas music while cleaning the house, and found a little time to do some holiday cookie baking. I know some of you out there are tired of creating holiday cards but I haven't gotten there just yet. I think it helps to actually create one a week throughout the year so you don't get burnt out toward the end.
Anyway, the holiday card I have today was made with an all occasion digital image from Elisabeth Bell, called Li'l Princess Tutu.
I love the traditional red and green, and the non-traditional pink and light turquoise but I really also love the various shades of blues and purples too!! This color combo is more Winter themed and reminds me of playing in the snow.
On Friday I gathered up all of the Christmas cards that I had made for the year and then have my Mom and MIL pick and choose which ones they want to give out to their friends/family and then the rest I have for hubby and I to send out. I think this year I had created less than I did last year, so that means I have to do my best next year in creating more just in case.

Be sure to enjoy and make use of the next 12 days before Christmas, and have a great rest of this beautiful Sunday!! Thank you for stopping in to visit me today!! =)

Elisabeth Bell's December Digi Blog Hop!!

Happy Aloha Friday everyone and WELCOME to our December digital blog hop featuring yet another adorable image from Elisabeth Bell!! I am the first blog you should have arrived from the Digi Bell blog! This month we've got another sweet image, and it's appropriately called Frosty The Snowman.
Oh isn't this scene SO cute!! It reminds me of playing in the snow with my family when we took trips to the mainland during the holidays. Making snowmen and angels were so much fun!!
When I made this card I wanted to show both the warm and cool colors of the holidays, so I made sure to use reds, and light blues and white. I have added a doily behind the image because it's white but it also reminded me of a snowflake.
To bring out snow on the card I added some glitter around the edges and borders of the image, card and sentiment, and added some white flower soft to their clothing.
Would you like to have a chance at winning this image for your very own?

Here's what you need to do:
1. Be sure to create a WINTER card using any Elisabeth Bell image and link it back to the company where the image can be bought.
2. Upload your card to the Mr. Linky linking with your blog post, NOT your entire.
3. Cards need to be loaded by December 17th, at 7 PM Arizona Time.

There's more inspiration along the way, if you get lost, refer to the blog hop list below but right now, head on over to Christel's Blog!!

Cupcake Cherrie

It's hump day!! For me, this week has really been going by soooo slowly! I can't wait for the weekend!! Today is a new challenge with Flutterby Wednesday and it's an open challenge, meaning you can create with anything as long as you have a butterfly, fairy or an angel on your card. The card I made is for my friend Kristie's daughter, who is 3 years old today!! Happy Birthday Emi!!
I just couldn't wait to ink up this cute cute image!! Her name is Cupcake Cherrie and she comes from Tickled Pink Stamps. She is perfect for any girl, young and old!! Of course I had to use pink in this card... I personally feel there is no better color than this especially if it's for a female!
I decided it was time for me participate in a challenge since it's been a while, so I joined in on Mercy's Sketch Challenge. This was fun and perfect for my image!

Here's a close up of the glittered cupcake! I hope you'll join in on the challenge this week, I LOVE open challenge days with Flutterby Wednesday!!
FYI... we are having a blog hop on Friday December 10th to showcase the December digital image from Elisabeth Bell!!! Have a fabulous day!! =)

Tiffany Doodles: Blog Hop and Challenge

Today is the day we at Tiffany Doodles have a blog hop and challenge!! If you have arrived here from Jill's Blog you are in the right place, if not please start at the very beginning at Tiffany Doodles. There are sooo many things going on with Tiffany Doodles you won't want to miss a thing! First the blog hop... if you want prizes, we've got them!! Each blog on this hop will have a prize given to one lucky person all you need to do is leave a comment on each blog to qualify.
There will also be a grand prize on the main blog of 3 digital images to 3 lucky winners!!

Second, is our monthly challenge! Today and every 7th of the month we will have a new challenge. This month's challenge theme is Anything Christmas, easy right!! Here's a card I created using an image called Fawn. It's not a Christmas image but I turned it into one.

I wanted to give the sky in the background a little softness like a winter sky sometimes has. Then I added white flower soft to the ground just covering the grass, and a little on top of the back of the deer. Basically I was trying to get the look of new fallen snow. I then added mini snowflakes from my Martha Stewart border punch for accents.
Here's the image that I will be giving away to one lucky someone who leaves a comment on each blog of the hop!!
Something new is coming soon!! It will be the opening of a new store with Tiffany Doodles! You'll be able to shop much easier than the way it's set up now. Stay tuned for that! Right now you can also buy 3 digital images and get a FREE one, head on over to the store now!!

Would you like to have Tiffany Doodles sponsor one of your challenges? If so please see more on that HERE.
Now, your next stop on this hop is Karen!! Happy Hopping!!

A Few Parts and Stand Ins

It's Tuesday and time for a new challenge with Sassy Cheryl's!! This week's challenge is to create a card using more than one image. This was fun but a bit tricky since I wanted to use 2 images that were somehow related to each other. So the 2 I chose were Snowman parts, and Christmas Tree Stand Ins. I figured they are pretty similar since one image has the snowmen already assembled and in the other image, they are ready to be assembled.
I was in the mood for a little bit of both the traditional and non traditional colors for Christmas and decided to combine them all in one card. I know it's a pretty busy looking card but I think somehow you're still able to see the images for focal points.
Here's what the winner of this week's challenge will win! What an adorable piece!! Don't you think it goes well with the card I made? Love all the snowmen!!
Hope you will join in the challenge this week and don't forget that we also have the Color Me challenge going on every Tuesday and Show Me Thursdays too!! Have a great day!!

All Glittered Up

Happy Monday!! I managed to get a little Christmas shopping this weekend, I know there are a few of you out there that are either finished shopping or almost finished shopping. I am usually a late shopper so this year I am actually very early!! LOL!!
I'm back with a new challenge for Belles n' Whistles and this time we'd like to see what you can do with glitter!! That's right, we want to see all the sparkle and shine on your card!
This adorable image is called Rockin' Around, and is another one of my favorite holiday images!! I loved making the rocking horse pink! It's just perfect for this little girl!! I had taken a closer photo of my card below to show where the glitter was added for the challenge. I had used stickles all around the borders of the image, sentiment and card. I've also added some stickles to the bells around the neck of the horse.
Remember that all you need to do in order to win the prize is to be sure to use a Belles n' Whistles stamp, to follow our theme of glitter and to upload your creation to this posting HERE!
Don't forget about our Advent Calendar of giveaways! There are prizes given out everyday until Christmas!! We've also got an ornament challenge going on and that will run until Christmas too!! Be sure to upload your ornaments to the gallery HERE!!
Here's wishing you a great day!! =)

Christmas Is Coming or Winter Is Near

Hello everyone! I will be back later today to announce the winner of the Belles n' Whistles stamp!!
Today I'm sharing with you a card I created for this month's challenge for Sunday's With Crissy!
This month the theme is Christmas Is Coming or Winter Is Near!!
Crissy is going to do something a little different for blog candy with this month's challenge! In the spirit of Christmas and giving, she is going to give away one digital image to the first 12 players! AND she will be opening up the contest to include EVERYONE (not just for those using one of her images)!! So if you are one of the first twelve players to link up your Christmas/winter card on here, you will get your choice of one of Crissy's digital images from either Whimsy or Squigglefly! How fun is that!
Now to keep it fair, you must make a card specifically for this challenge. Any cards that are "back-linked" will not qualify.
And, if you don't make it in the race for top twelve, you can still have a chance to win at the end of this month. Crissy will still draw a name (using from the participants, and that lucky person will get to choose 2 images of their choice from her collection.
Here's the card I created for the challenge using one of Crissy's NEW digital images called Teddy's First Christmas!! I just fell in love with his adorable face!! Lately I felt like I was making to many cards with non traditional Christmas colors so I went with the traditional red and green. One of the embellishments I hardly have a chance to use is flower soft, so during the holidays I bring out the white one to use for snow.

You will have the entire month of December to submit your creation to this post HERE. Thanks for taking the time to visit, hope your weekend is going great!!

Stamp Fairy

I hope you are having a wonderful Saturday!! I think most of us are well into the Christmas spirit and have started some Christmas shopping but maybe haven't had a chance to create cards. So, today I'm sharing a holiday card I made with a cute cute image from Stamp Fairy.
There are so many cute images to choose from and this one is from a collection called Santa's World. For my card I colored my image with copics, added some white flower soft to Santa's clothes and at the bottom for snow. I also added some stickles to go around the border of the image too.

Currently there is a DT Call that will run until December 13th!! For all of you digital stamp lovers, hurry on over to apply now!!

Today is day #2 of sneak peeks with All That Scraps!! Today the feature is on Amy R's Lovely and All About Love Sentiments! The image I used to go with the sentiment is Sugarplums Cookie, and stool.
The sentiment would go with just about any image, and I thought she was just too cute to pass up!! The stamps will be available for purchase December 6th but if you'd like to win a set of these sentiments, be sure to leave a comment and link on this post HERE!!

Tiffany Doodles!!

Hello everyone, I'd like to share some great news with you! I've been asked to join Tiffany and her wonderful DT with Tiffany Doodles!! I'm looking foward to working with each and every one of them!!
We've got a blog hop and challenge coming up on December 7th, and hope you will join us for it!! Here's a list of the entire DT!!

Belles n' Whistles Advent Calendar Day #3!!

Hey there, today is day #3 for the annual Belles n' Whistles Advent Calendar and I've decided to create a tutorial. I love to create favor boxes and little gifts when I have time. One of the things I like are fast and easy tutorials so I came up with this.
I couldn't come up with a name for it other than a 12x12 Bag!! Would you like to make one? Let me show you how.
First you will need a 12x12 cardstock, scorer, cutter, scissors, tape and embellishments.

Take your cardstock and score it at 3" and 9".
Turn cardstock and score that side at 4 1/2" and 8 1/2".
Next, cut the cardstock as shown below.
You will then tape the box up to look like the photo below.

Begin to embellish your box as desired.

Here's the completed bag, easy right!! The image I used is called Catch a Flake, she is from the Snowbabies Collection. I have also added some punched snowflakes using my Martha Stewart border punch to make it look like she is catching snowflakes with her tongue.

Don't forget that you still have time to leave a comment on my post HERE for a chance to win the latest Merry Sledding stamp from Belles n' Whistles!! The deadline is tonight at 9PM HST!! I will announce the winner on Saturday!!

We also have an ornament contest that runs from December 1st until December 24... be sure you use any Belles n' Whistles stamp and upload it to the Gallery!! Find all the details on this post HERE!!

Copic Creations: Leap of Joy

Hello everyone! This is my third post and last post of the day. Please scroll down to see my post for the new Belles n' Whistles image and giveaway!!

Today brings a new challenge with Copic Creations!! Our challenge for the next 2 weeks is to create a card using the theme of "light source". We want to see you color your images where we can see the light shining on your image. The image I have is from a new release from Crissy Armstrong at Whimsy Stamps called Leap of Joy. What a beautiful image this is, and such fun to color!!
With this technique, I tried to show that the light source is coming from the front of the reindeer and a bit from the middle where you can see some light between the bells on the coat, and a bit on the ribbon too. I think most of us try to achieve this technique but sometimes it doesn't always work out, so we've got some links for you to help achieve that over on the Copic Creations post today. Hope that you'll join us for the challenge!!

In The Mood For Love

Here's my second post of the day, I have this week's new challenge for Flutterby Wednesday which is an open challenge. This means you use whatever image you want just as long as there is a fairy, butterfly or angel on your creation.
This week the team have been sponsored by Karber digital images. The image I used is called Sunny Fairy. I think she's perfect for all occasions but I think she could also be a tooth fairy. I was in the mood to create with colors for Valentine's Day and even added a border using my Martha Stewart xoxo punch!! Hope you'll join us for the fun!!
