Purple Galore

I hope all of you are enjoying your Saturday! Today is the last day to sign up for my BIG birthday blog candy, be sure to get your entry in before midnight PST. Good luck to all of you!!
Today's card features a pretty Iris stamp from I Brake For Stamps. They have a huge line of floral images and more.
I was once a purple person, meaning... I used to LOVE purple years ago! So, I had purchased a few craft items in a variety of shades but never had a chance to really use them all. Since the Iris flower is normally purple I figured it was the best time to use those items. However...

I think I should not have added those roses next to the Iris. Somehow it doesn't match... but at the same time it does if you just think of a garden of flowers... LOL!! Anyway, be sure to head on over to the store to find your favorite flower and more. While there be sure to use the code
SAVE10JODI when you check out!!

ATS Sneak Peek: CC Designs Halloween

I have 3 posts today, Please scroll down for the first 2, thank you!!

Happy Aloha Friday!! Today is another fun day for sneak peeks with All That Scraps, and the latest is this adorable stamp of Swiss Pixie Halloween Birgitta. I just LOVE all of the stamps from CC Designs, they are the CUTEST! Besides Christmas, my next favorite time of the year is Halloween, it's just a FUN time of the year where you can be anyone you want to and have a great dress up party too!! I think I love the colors and decorating the best!! LOL!! I'm looking forward to hosting a Halloween party this year... we'll see!!
Somehow the coloring on her boots and dress do not show up the best in this photo as it does in person. I just couldn't get the right lighting. If you'd like to win a stamp from today's release, leave your comment HERE. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

Fall Is Near

Well, it's still officially Summer but we are headed quickly into the holidays and looks like today I'm featuring every holiday that comes toward the end of the year. This fun and happy image is from In Style Stamps and her name is Jocelyn.
I hardly create cards that are for Fall, and I think it's because there aren't too many stamps that were created for that season. I mainly see stamps for Halloween and Christmas. Anyway I was thrilled that this image was created for Fall/Thanksgiving.
I was also happy to be able to use my Martha Stewart Autumn leaf punch, which I then distressed with some distress inks from Tim Holtz.
Please scroll down for my 3rd post of the day!!

CSAYL: Sketch Challenge

It's time for a new challenge with Christmas Stampin' All Year Long!! This week's challenge is a sketch. As with any sketch, you can turn it anyway you want as long as we are still able to see it on your card.
My image is a pretty new stamp called Winter Millie, she comes from a line of stamps called Wild Rose Studio. They have the cutest stamps that can be purchased HERE. I hope you'll play along in the sketch challenge with us, you'll have until next Thursday to upload your card to the challenge post.

ATS Sneak Peek: Honey Teacher

This is my 2nd post, please scroll down for the first of the day!!

I know I keep saying that the days are going by so quickly but seriously, they really are!! I just can't believe that some schools will be back in session within a couple of days. With that said, the card I created is for a sneak peek of Honey Teacher.
She's absolutely perfect for creating cards and gifts for the special teacher in your child's school.

I would normally decorate my card with a number of embellishments but this time decided to let the printed paper do the work. The paper I used is from Die Cuts with a View, it's got adorable prints for school that went perfect for my image. I also made a tall card instead of the usual square or shaped card.
Last, I added a few red pearls and some crystal lacquer to the apple to make it shiny. Check out the ATS blog for more details on how you can win a stamp of your own!!

Birthday RAKs

I want to share with you the very creative and thoughtful Birthday RAKs I received from some of my dear blogging friends/sisters in no particular order.

Thank you girls for thinking of me!! I hope all of you enjoyed seeing these cards and creations as much as I have.

Happy Bird-day to you!!

Happy hump day! Today's card was created for 3 reasons. First the All That Scraps DT is featuring sneak peeks this week and my card is featuring a new and cute stamp set from the Cookie Crumbs line called For The Birds.
Second, it's for the Flutterby Wednesday challenge which is an open one, so be sure to create with a fairy, angel or butterfly. Third, this week's challenge for the All That Scraps Wednesday Challenge is to create a Double Pocket card.
The only way I could show you the double pocket card was to place the gift card in one pocket and place the tag in the other. I hope you can see what I mean.
The paper I used for my card is so fun and happy for a birthday and can be found at All That Scraps, HERE. Hope you will join in on the challenges this week and if you'd like to win your own stamp set of these cute birds, be sure to leave a comment HERE.
Thanks for stopping by!!

Let's Stump The Boss!!

The Sassy gals have been working hard behind the scenes to stump the boss. Sassy Cheryl claims that she can tell which design team member made a particular card just by looking at it. So we are putting Sassy Cheryl to the test!

The card I am posting is not my own creation. Each of us are featuring a card that's created by one of our DT members, just to fool you too!!

Want to play along? It's easy...just answer our challenge for the week. Use a Sassy Cheryl image and the challenge criteria "Thinking of You". Link up your post at our challenge page using Mr. Linky. Then take a look at Sassy Cheryl's guess... is she right? Or is she wrong? Just tell us what you think by leaving a comment on the challenge page...then you'll get an extra entry in our random draw this week if you've guessed right. To recap: participate in the challenge and get one entry... participate and guess correctly and get another entry.

The winner will receive a $10 gift certificate to Sassy Cheryl's shop.

I hope you will join us for the challenge, and the FUN!! Have a great day!!

Sweet Dreams...

Hello blogland!! I hope all of you enjoyed your weekend!! It's time for a new challenge with Belles n' Whistles, and it is my turn to choose this week's challenge! So, I decided upon one of my favorite techniques called Monochromatic coloring.
The image I used is called Sweet Dreams, isn't she the sweetest!! She's absolutely precious! After I colored my image, it reminded me of photos that my grandparents have. But, of course now, we can print photos in this color (sepia).
It also reminds me of a photo of my niece when she was a baby. To finish up my card I added some lace over the printed papers from Basic Grey and Kaiser crafts. Hope you will join us for the challenge this week, just be sure to use a Belles n' Whistles stamp. You'll have until next Sunday August 1st to participate.
Thanks for stopping by!!

Flowers, Flowers and more Flowers

Happy Saturday!! Hope all of you are enjoying your weekend! Today's card was created using a very pretty stamp from I Brake For Stamps, called Flower Pots.
Initially when piecing my card together I had planned to keep it simple by limiting the amount of paper flowers, but as you can see, I kept adding! LOL!! I love floral images and paper flowers and felt this was my opportunity to have fun with both at the same time!! =) These pretty paper flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and I used a combination of Basic Grey and Stampin' Up designer papers.

Here's a closer look at the image I colored with my copic pens, and if you look closely, you can see some glitter added to the paper flowers too. There are a load of floral stamps and more at
I Brake For Stamps, be sure to see what's new in the store and use this code when you check out: SAVE 10JODI. Mahalo for stopping by, wishing you a great day!!

InStyle with Chloe

I can't believe how quickly the week is going by, time sure is flying by for me lately. Anyway, today I'm featuring a card that uses an image from InStyle Stamps. I was once a DT member for them in the past and have just been asked back as a Guest DT member for the next 3 months!! So, let me introduce you to this cutie! This digital image is called Ornamental Chloe. She couldn't have arrived at the perfect month... Christmas in July!! I know many of you have been creating some cards for Christmas this month, so here's another adorable image that you can use for your card giving.
Since I've been creating cards for Christmas I try to make it a point to include some pink since it is my favorite color. I think it brightens it up and makes it a bit sweeter!! If you love digitals and cute images, check out InStyle Stamps for more!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

Holiday FUN!

It's time for anything but a card and a little bit of Christmas in July. That's right, the challenge this week for All That Scraps is to create anything but a card and the challenge with Flutterby Wednesday is Christmas In July.
So, this is what I came up with. I used a Swiss Pixie stamp and sentiment from All That Scraps and created this adorable Carry All box from Sizzix and decorated it for the Flutterby Christmas challenge. Instead of coloring her dress I paper pieced it for a snowflake pattern.
This was the first time I used this box and I can tell you that it's really cute and perfect for a favor or small gift. Good things come in small packages! After having made this box I know that I will be making more in the future. You will have a chance to join in on both of these fun challenges until next Tuesday... can't wait to see your creations!! Happy hump day!!

Feeling Witchy?

Well, I must say that I really miss having that 3 day weekend!! It was great to be able to have that extra day off during the week. I could use that extra day to sleep in and/or craft! LOL!! Anyway, Happy Tuesday to ya'll! It's time for a new challenge with Sassy Cheryl! This week's challenge is called "Cut it Out"
So, I chose an image called "Witches Moon" and cut out the image after coloring with my copics and airbrushed the moon to give it a bit of an eerie look. What do you think? Did it turn out ok? I don't know... I've never airbrushed a moon before.. LOL!! There are lots and lots of cute and fun images in the store to choose from, so pick anyone to play!
I know I have mentioned it before, but I LOVE Halloween!! So of course that is why you will see me using Halloween images during the summer. I hope you will join us for the challenge this week, don't forget to check out what the rest of the team has created!! Wishing you a great day!

This is my second post of the day, please scroll down for the first one!!

Today I'm thrilled to inform you that All That Scraps will have new digital images!! For those of you who just love Digital images, here's a preview of what will be available today! The card I created uses a Swiss Pixie digital image of Birgitta.
She is one of my favorite new digital images!! If you'd like to have a chance at winning a digital image be sure to comment on the ATS Blog post HERE!!
I know you'll want them all!!

Fairy Play

It's Monday and time for a new challenge with Belles n' Whistles!! Today's challenge is distressing. We'd like to see you create with all kinds of distressing to your cards.
The image I used is called Fairy Play. Once I saw the image I knew exactly that I wanted to create a card for Halloween. She's wearing a costume for fun and Halloween will be here in no time.
So I stuck with the traditional colors for Halloween, added some flowers and glitter to match. I hope you will participate with us this week, be sure to use a Belles n' Whistles stamp for your card and to keep with the theme of distressing. This is my first post of the day and hope that you will come back in a bit to see my second one. Thanks for stopping by!!

Christmas Is Near

Good Sunday morning to all of you!! How's your weekend going? I hope great!! Well, it's been a while since our last challenge for Sunday's with Crissy until today!! This challenge is called Christmas In July. We'd like to see you create with a Christmas Digital image designed by Crissy.
This adorable image is from Whimsy stamps and is called Warm Winter Wishes. Isn't it adorable!! I love the cute little faces on each of the penguins and the polar bear.
When creating my card I of course had to add the color pink! Then, I used some chunky glitter to add to the ground and some stickles for sparkle. One of the greatest things about creating cards for Christmas is being able to give them out and hopefully putting a smile on someone's face. I hope you'll join us for the challenge!! Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!!

There are SO many stamps to choose from and in all kinds of categories too!!

When I colored this Tulip image, I just knew I had to make them yellow, it was perfect for Summer. One of the things that I finally had a chance to use was my Martha Stewart Butterfly border punch.
Lastly, I airbrushed the background a bit darker than I'd like it but seems ok I guess. Hope to see you here for some Sunday fun!! Thanks for stopping by!

It's "Summer"!!

It's been a while since we had a challenge with Tamiko's but we've got one for you today!! The challenge is to create a card using FLOWERS. I love all kinds of embellishments but I really love flowers. They are the perfect accent for just about any card.
The image I chose is from the greeting farm set called Roll Call, her name is "Summer". I couldn't resist using her since it really is summertime. As much as I love flowers, I really held back using lots of them just because I was afraid it would over power my image.
Another one of my favorite embellishment are dew drops, and you can get them at Tamiko's!! Joy has all kinds and colors so check out the Store!! Remember that any purchase over $25 qualifies for FREE Shipping and there is a 10% off sale on stamps too!!
To participate be sure to use any stamp you find in the store, and to use flowers!! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!! Happy Shopping!!

Oh Honey!

This is my second post, please scroll down for the first one!!

This week's challenge with All That Scraps is to create a card using the monochromatic technique, this just happens to be one of my most favorite techniques!! This means we'd like to see you color an image using only one color, but different shades of it.
I went for the vanilla brown shades and colored my image called Honey Bikini. Doesn't she look super cute and sassy? After coloring her I realized that now she could be called a bronzing beauty!
After coloring, I added some crystal lacquer to her glasses to make it look real. These line of stamps and more adorable ones are available for purchase at the store and can be used to participate with for the challenge. I hope you'll join us!!

Layer It

It's finally hump day!! This week at Flutterby Wednesday the DT is being sponsored by Di's Digital images. The challenge this week is for you to create a card with at least 3 layers and of course with a butterfly, fairy or angel too.
The image I used is called Cookie in the Garden. These images are so cute! If you're looking for something sweet and cute, check them out!!
As always I colored my image with my copics and I airbrushed the background too. To match the colors of the colored flowers I added some pink flowers and glittered them to sparkle. There was an amazing turnout of participants last week and we hope you will join us again this week!! Have a great day!
