Happy Saturday! Today I'm introducing a brand new store and design team! I'm so happy to announce Sassy Cheryl's Digital Store and Challenge Blog and that I was asked to be apart of her design team!! I was of course very thrilled!! I've created a card below with one of her many cute and fun images and this one is called LadyBug Lady. I love ladybugs and their color.
I decided to go with a clean and simple card so that the details of the image stand out better. The embellishments I added were minimal for the same reason.
I'd like to introduce to you the rest of the design team, I feel so very lucky to be working with a very talented group of ladies:
Our first challenge will begin on Tuesday March 2nd, I sure hope you will join us for it!! Thanks so much for stopping by!
Please scroll down for my Saturday Spotlight post.

Saturday Spotlight & DT Call

Welcome to a new Saturday Spotlight Challenge, this week the Spotlight Divas want to challenge you to do the opposite from last week's challenge and clean things up a bit! This means you can make a nice CAS card (clean and simple) or make sure you have clean edges on your creation. This week our sponsor is Whimsie Doodles Stamps. This cute image called Leah Bunny is one of the Easter digitals from Whimsie stamps. I decided to use a pure white cardstock for the base of my image so the coloring will stand out better. I also only used dew drops for an embellishment. The embossing was with my cuttlebug folder and the lines going across my card were created using my scor-pal.

Not only is there a challenge going on but also a DT Call. If you are interested and would like to join us please check out the blog for more information!!
Hope you will have a chance to join in on the fun! Be sure to check out what the rest of the DT has created:
Thanks for stopping by!!

Something Pink

It's Aloha Friday! Whoo hoo! It's finally time for the weekend! Anyway I have something pink for you. This week's challenge with Christmas Stampin' All Year Long is to create a monochromatic card using shades of Pink!! I was thrilled! Don't you find it so much easier to create something using your favorite color?
This is Anya from The Greeting Farm she is all dressed up for the holidays. I had lots of fun with adding some flower soft to her wardrobe, it gives the card dimension and texture.
Every Friday we will be creating cards for Christmas, but every first Friday of the month we will have a Christmas project challenge. Stay tuned for that coming next week!! Be sure to upload your creation to the blog, each week we will choose a winner for the challenge and they will be the Guest designer for the next week!!
Be sure to check out the rest of the creations from the design team:
Thanks so much for stopping by! Be sure to check back tomorrow, I've got lots of NEW and FUN things to share!!

Nurse Nora

Time for a visit with the nurse... Nurse Nora that is. Welcome to another Wednesday Challenge with All That Scraps and Flutterby Wednesday!! The image I am using today is fairly new and is from All That Scraps. This week's challenge is to use either a page from a book or newspaper on your creation. This week's Flutterby challenge is an open one (just be sure to use a butterfly, fairy or angel on your card).
I got the information from the newspaper under the health and fitness section (had to make it match the stamp of course!) which gave tips to keep healthy. I didn't want to get the newspaper ink on my card so I printed it onto copy paper and distressed the edges.
The card I made is a fun one, it will fold flat so you can mail it. If you'd like to try making this card, click HERE.
Here's a closer look at the print out of the tips on keeping healthy. When participating for the All That Scraps Wednesday Challenge click HERE. To participate in the Flutterby Wednesday Challenge, click HERE. I can't wait to see what you will come up with for both challenges!!
Have a great day!!

For The Boys

It's the first day of the week and time to begin a new challenge with the Roses On Paper and Belles n' Whistles challenge blog!! Our challenge for you is to create a card for a boy or man. We know how hard and tricky it is to create for a guy. The image I have used is Edwin from the recent Valentine Kit from Magnolia.
The sentiment I chose comes from a stampin' up stamp set. I thought it really suited the image well. I've added some raffia ribbon for texture and dew drops around Edwin and to the corners of my card.
Here's another view and look at Edwin. I hope you will join in on the challenge with us! Remember that you can use any stamp from Roses on Paper or Belles n' Whistles to participate. Can't wait to see what you will create, have fun!!
Stamps: Magnolia (valentine collection 2010), Stampin' Up sentiment
Paper: Caramel, Soft Sky CS, Basic Grey Marrakech DSP

Cheeky Shooter and some News!!

Happy Saturday everyone! Today begins a new challenge with Saturday Spotlight, we call it "Do the Messy"! We'd like to see you create by either distressing you card with ink, distress the paper itself, etc. So, I decided to use my new Cheeky Shooter from The Greeting Farm and distressed my cardstock. I also added some vintage looking brads to give it a more "western" look!
I decided to make an easel card, so far they are my most favorite cards to make since it is more interactive than a regular card. I have taken several photos of this card so you can see it at all angles.
Here's where the news comes in. My friend Joy of Tamiko's has decided to put together a DT and has asked me to apart of it!! Of course I said yes! You will love shopping there, and will get the best deals, the newest products and FREE shipping on $25 or more!! Speaking of new products, take a look at the picture below.
These little stars actually come Clear. I used my copic markers to color them and made them the same color as I colored my image. Since I love easel cards, I thought they were the perfect little addtion to help it stand up. Joy will be selling them at the store soon too!! So keep an eye out for it!
This is a bird's eye view of the card so you can see it all. Don't you just love pink and brown together! I made this card for a friend and hope she likes it!
Last but not least, a close up of the front of the card. Be sure to stop by at Tamiko's for your Cheeky stamps and more!! Hope you enjoyed all the different views of my card and that you will join us for the challenge at Saturday Spotlight!! Have a great day!!
Stamps: Cheeky Shooter (TGF),sentiment (TGF)

Happy Friday everyone! Today the All That Scraps DT and I are reviewing the stamps for the month of February. This image is just too cute! This little guy comes from a set called Flower Power. I just love this pretty paper from Basic Grey, it really is so pretty!! Anyway I am so happy that there is a new monkey set, they are the cutest monkeys I've ever seen.
I hope you liked this card as much as I have had creating it!! Please scroll down for my Christmas Stampin' All Year Long post!!

I've got great news for all of you today...Christmas Stampin' All Year Long is back and we are ready to get started on this year's holiday cards! I know there are many of you who didn't even have one card made for Christmas last year or those that made just one. Well we're here to help you get a head start!
The first challenge is a recipe challenge. The recipe is to use 2 layers of paper. 3 buttons and add glitter. Pretty easy right! The image I am using today is from the Sugar Nellie collection. Isn't she super cute!
To be sure that you have Christmas cards this year, follow us each week to create! We can't wait to see what all of you will create! Thanks everyone for stopping by and have a great day!

Hi everyone! Did you get your Cheekys yet? Well, if you did your pre-order like I did you would have already gotten your stamps by now. Are you wondering where I got them... TAMIKO'S of course!! Joy has the latest and greatest products in her store, you've got to check it out! This is the newest line of stamps from The Greeting Farm. I think my favorite would be this image called Cheeky Rockabilly, she's so cute and sassy.
After I colored her I added some half backed pearls for earrings. I'm not so sure if I should have left them out or not, what do you think? I was also thinking of coloring her in another color but it just seemed red was the best for her.
The sentiment is from The Greeting Farm set called Talk Loud which was perfect for her. I will be creating with the others too. Be sure to check out Tamiko's store for updates on products!
Have a great day!
Supplies used:
Stamps: Cheeky Rockabilly, Talk Loud Sentiments (TGF)
Paper: Black and Red CS, DSP(unknown), Neenah CS
Ink: Copics
Accessories: Nestabilities, half backed pearls, MS border punch, grosgrain ribbon.

Wednesday is finally here! That means it's time for new challenges with All That Scraps and Flutterby Wednesday!! The first card I have for you was made for the All That Scraps Wednesday Challenge and the challenge is to create a card using the following recipe.
You must have 4 embellishments, 3 papers, 2 colors and 1 image. I decided to create with this adorable new Emma from the Spring Kit!!
Here is what I used for my card: Embellishments (4): ribbon, dew drops, flowers and pearls. 3 papers, 2 colors: red and blue, and 1 image. This was a fun challenge and a great idea too!! I hope you will have time to create and join in on the fun!! Be sure to stop by Tracy's blog for her great stamp sale!!

My next card was made for Flutterby Wednesday. This week our sponsor is Susanna from Susanna's custom art and card design. Danni had asked us to create something using any image from Susanna's store so I have used Spunkette. She is from the first release of Elisabeth Belle stamps. Now one important thing is to add hearts to this challenge... looks like I've left them out! Don't forget to add them on your card!!

I really had no time to add or take things out since my coloring was just horrible in both of these pictures. I hate when my coloring does not come out the way I want it to. Sometimes I just get so frustrated I throw it all. Anyway I sure hope that all of you are having great time! Hope you'll join us for the Flutterby Wednsday Challenge!!

Today is the final day for the Twilight Tuesday Inspiration Challenge blog. It is so sad to see a great challenge blog like this come to an end. I love the Twilight saga and being able to share and create cards and projects that relate to the books. With that said, the challenge is to create a card using wording from a magazine, newspaper, etc..
Since the books are collectively called the "Twilight Saga" I decided to print up the definition of the word Twilight and used it as a background for my card. I added some distress ink to the teared edges of the white paper just to give it a little bit of an ancient look.
Although there will no longer be a challenge blog for all of you Twilight fans, I invite you to join the fun that my friend Linda and I have created. We have a blog called Pocket Edward's Excellent Adventures. This blog is truly just for fun and laughs!! I hope you like it!
Well, the next person that you will be visiting on this blog hop is Jen. Have a wonderful day!!

Copic Creations Challenge: Colored Embellishments

I hope all of you are enjoying this 3 day weekend! The card I made today was created for the Copic Creations challenge which is to decorate your embellishments with your copic pens. You can use just about anything like coloring ribbon, paper flowers etc. Our theme was Easter and the images we used today is from DZ Doodles and my image is called Lily Egg Basket.
The embellishment I used were Dew Drops. I know there are dew drops that are available in nearly every color but by using your copic pens to color them, you get color that matches exactly to your colored image on paper.
I tried to get a close up of the basket to show you that I colored my dew drops and that they match really close with an egg in the basket. One other thing I did was decorate the eggs in the basket since they come without decoration. Hope you have time to join us for this challenge!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Happy Valentine's Day!!

It's a day for love! Hope all of you are enjoying your Valentine's Day! This card was made for my last post with the Anyone For Anya challenge blog as a guest. I was late in getting my card posted with them and just got a chance to post it on my blog now. (Life happens!) Today begins a new challenge which is Flower Power. Create a card or project with flowers. I decided to use the colors for Valentine's day using Miss Anya Love. She is probably my most favorite out of this set of stamps.

I've decided to create an easel card since they are so much fun. Not only fun to make but to receive too. I forgot to take a closer shot of the flowers I used. They were created using Nellie Snellen flower punches. They punch the flower out, and then emboss the petals too!! I love that feature. If you want to get them too, I got my punches HERE.
This is what the card looks like from the front, opened. Hope you will have a chance to join the challenge this week. Not only is it Valentine's Day, but Chinese New year too so Kung Hee Fat Choy everyone!!

For this week's challenge... ..
The Spotlight Divas would like to challenge you to use a household item on your creation...but NOT a craft item! Use safety pins, dryer sheets, household cleaners, paper clips for doing a technique or using as an embellishment.

Challenge Yourself and Happy News!!

Happy hump day! I hope all of you are doing well and getting ready for Valentine's Day on Sunday... did you get something for your hunny buns yet? I haven't yet but I think this year I'll create something especially for him!! That means I have to really get busy, the days are flying by fast!!
I am soooo excited because I have moved up from a Guest DT member with All That Scraps to a permanent DT member!! I just love all the cute images created here and the DT are such a great group of girls!! =)

Anyway, the card I have to share with you today was made for both All That Scraps Wednesday Challenge and Flutterby Wednesday. The All That Scraps Challenge is to create a Tri Shutter card, HERE are the instructions.
This is Butterfly Emma from the new Sugar Plums Spring Kit. Don't you just LOVE her!! I wanted my card to be made with colors to represent Spring but also make it a "love" card as this is the challenge for Flutterby Wednesday. Create a "love" card, kind of an anything goes card.
I have used my Martha Stewart butterfly punches for an added Spring time effect and some punched flowers with dew drops for the centers.
This is my first time making a tri shutter card and it took me a while to create. I love the result and plan to make another soon! If you have not tried it out yet now is the perfect time. You can enter it in to win a great prize from All That Scraps! Hope you will join in on both challenges.
I will be stopping by to visit all of you on your blogs later today!!

TTIC: Color Challenge

Well it is just about a week from today, that Twilight Tuesday will no longer be a challenge blog.
We will be finishing up next week. I am so sad to see it go since all of us and all of you just love this blog. Anyway, the card I made for today is a color challenge using, Lilac, Orange Blossom and Rose.
This stamp I am using is from The Greeting Farm, her name is Gigi. I wanted a clean and simple card. So without adding any more details, I used the smallest embellishment which are the half backed pearls, and distressed the edges around it.
I hope that all of you have a wonderful evening and will join in on the challenge for the very last 2 weeks with Twilight Tuesday!. Check out the rest of the creations from the DT:
Have a wonderful Tuesday!!

Sugar & Spice

Hey everyone, thanks for stopping in on this Superbowl Sunday! For those of you not familiar with this, it's a football game that takes place in the US once a year. Click HERE for more info.
I was asked to be a Guest Designer for the Anyone For Anya Challenge blog for 2 weeks... so here is my first card. I chose the theme of the challenge which is Sugar and Spice! I felt that the best way to represent the theme was using colors for it, red and brown.
She is from the Miss Anya dressy collection. I used a sketch from Mojo Monday for the layout and tried to make use of all kinds of embellishments techniques. I used my Martha Stewart heart border punch, did some dry embossing with my cuttlebug and added some pearls too!
Here's a different view of my card. Hope all of you are having a great day, and take some time to relax and enjoy the rest of your weekend!! Stay tuned for a Roses On Paper/Belles n' Whistles Challenge tomorrow!!

Think Small

The weekend is here and that means it's time for another challenge with Saturday Spotlight! I hope you are enjoying the challenges just as much as I am, to me this challenge blog is the most diverse. This week the challenge is to create a card or project using small things. You can use the smallest stamp, or embellishments. I decided to make small cards. These cards are 3x3 cards.
I love all of my Belles n' Whistles stamps and of course had to incorporate them into this challenge somehow. These stamps are much bigger so I used just the faces of these adorable girls, colored them and embellished each one.
These cards are actually part of the gift that I am giving to Summer who's birthday was on Thursday... I know I'm late LOL! Anyway this is also another idea for those of you with these stamps. Create with a part of the stamp so you can get full use of them, they are very versatile. The first card is made with a stamp called Tania Baking.

This card is made with Beary Big Hugs.

Lastly, this one is made with Smile.
I can't wait to see what you will come up with for this challenge!! Sounds like fun right! All you need to do is upload your creation to the blog before next Saturday.
Wishing you a great Saturday, see you tomorrow!!

A Birthday & A Winner!!

It's a VERY special day because... it's Summer's Birthday!! Summer is the founder and store owner of Belles n' Whistles stamps! I've been saving this stamp (Cupcake) to use just for her birthday, and I must say that it really is a fun stamp to color!! When making my card I decided to use non traditional birthday colors. I usually am one to use bold and brighter colors for birthdays. Please drop by the Belles n' Whistles blog and send her your birthday wishes!!
I tried to go for the modern, and slightly vintage look by adding some lace to my card, I think it turned out ok. I am really having fun using lace on my cards... it could be just because Valentine's Day is coming up.
Now I know all of you have been anxiously awaiting the winner of my Valentine's Day candy #2, and since it's Summer's birthday I had her pick a number, she chose #397!
The Winner is: RIA of Ria's Scrapcards!
Please drop me an email ( to claim your prize by Friday evening PST
or another winner will be chosen.
I thank each and everyone of you for joining in my blog candy, a little hint... I recently had hit the 100,000 mark for the number of hits to blog and forgot to post some candy!! Calorie FREE!!

A Valentine Cutie

Happy hump day! Time for another All That Scraps Wednesday Challenge and a Flutterby Wednesday Challenge!! I love that I can combine the 2 challenges together, and I'm sure all of you feel the same way. It is the month for LOVE!! The All That Scraps Wednesday Challenge blog is asking you to create a Valentine favor with any image from the All That Scraps Store. The image I am using is from a set called Angels Everywhere, these are the adorable Gingersnaps collection.
Since this week the Flutterby Wednesday challenge is an open one, you can create anything you want using only a fairy, pixie, angel or butterfly. The favor I created is using the brand new milk carton big shot die from Stampin' Up!. I must tell you that these are the cutest milk cartons I have ever seen, they are too sweet! I have used my Martha Stewart heart lace border punch and some satin ribbon to go around the carton. I have also added some white flowersoft to her wings and silver stickles to her dress.
Sure hope that you will join us for both of these challenges, just be sure to upload your creations before next Wednesday!!
Have a wonderful day, and I will be back later today with the winner of my 2nd Valentine Candy!

Sweet Love and Twilight Tuesday

It's Tuesday and that means it's time for Twilight Tuesday!! This week the challenge is to create a card for your sweetheart on Valentine's Day and to include texture into your card!! So, the card I made is using an adorable stamp from Belles N' Whistles called Sweet Love.
For the texture part of my card I distressed the edges of the cardstock behind my image, added some lace and ribbon in the background and also added flowersoft to his bouquet. I realize that the color of the heart is pretty bright but it is actually not like that in real life. Not sure why it shows up this way.

Here's a different angle of my card, I tried to get a closer look at the distressed edges. I hope that you will join us for the challenge this week! I have linked the rest of the DT below so you can see all of their awesome creations!!
