Welcome to the Belles n' Whistles Holiday Blog Hop! This time the DT and I were to choose a cookie that's made during the holidays to showcase each new image.
This sweet new stamp is called Belle's Carols. The entire stamp has Belle singing Christmas carols to her dolls.

I decided to make a recipe card that stands so you can easily follow it while baking. These are Melting Moments cookies, they are sooooo yummy!! I don't know anyone who doesn't like 'em. I have used Belle all by herself to show you how versatile this stamp can be. Doesn't it look like she is reading the recipe to you?

Here is the entire stamp of Belle singing to her dolls---too cute!! I just love all of the new Christmas stamps that are showcased here today, Elisabeth Bell is a wonderful artist!

Hot Cocoa and Hanukkah

Have you been to the Pink Cat Studio Digital store yet? If not, you are really missing out on some of the cutest images!! Today and every Thursday Melissa will be releasing a number of new images! I've got 2 of the new ones that you can get now. My first card is Lily drinking hot cocoa.
I decided to go for a clean and simple look for my cards and also some non traditional colors. Don't you think she is a cutie? I think one of the fun things about these images are their clothing for the winter. I love to add 3D items such as liquid applique and flowersoft.

Here's a close up of the flowersoft I added to her coat and hood. I wanted to try different colors of flowersoft for her instead of always using white. The only part I used white was for her hood since the colored flowersoft was a bit too much.

My second card is Billy with menorah and dreidel. He is ready to celebrate Hanukkah! I am not Jewish and wasn't too familiar with what a dreidel was, so I googled it and found more info here.

I tried to keep this toward the masculine side and used more neutral colors. Head on over to the Pink Cat Digital Store now to see and get all the other images available this week!

Feel Better Soon

Can you believe it's hump day already? Well, this means that it is time for Flutterby Wednesday! I love these days and hope that you have had a chance to join in on the fun too. All you need to do is create a card or project with a butterfly or fairy and since the holidays are just around the corner you can also use angels!! The card I made today uses a cute fairy bug from CC Designs. I've made this card for a friend who is having a procedure done today in the hospital. I sure hope everything goes well for her.
When coloring this image, it was about 1 AM and I had some trouble coloring her hair. It really is not something that I am happy with but had to post this to show you what I was up to for today. Good thing my card is going to a friend who doesn't really do paper crafts! LOL! I added some pearls to her antennae and stickles to her wings.

Halloween Goodies

Are you ready for Halloween? Sure hope so, it will be here in no time! These are pumpkin baskets that I made for a Halloween get together with a few local bloggers here in Hawaii. We got together earlier this month and shared all kinds of different ways to hold candy for Halloween. I have yet to take the pictures of what these talented girls have made so all of you can see for yourselves. In the meantime, I have pictures of what I made for them. These are baskets made to look like pumpkins. They are made out of a Stampin' Up Pillow Box die cut, and the directions can be found HERE.
I really would not have made these if I had a ton to do but since there were only 10 that I needed to make I decided to go for it. They really are fun to make! I filled it with all kinds of candy to eat and one special candy to play with which is a cuttlebug folder.

Another reason I am posting this today is for a challenge called Saturday Spotlight! The challenge this week is to create a treat container. So I went for the Halloween theme. Hope you'll have a chance to make one of these for Halloween!! Have a great day!

Keep Cozy

Hope everyone had a great weekend! Time for another Christmas Stampin' All Year Long card. The challenge this week is to create a diorama card. I think I've made these kinds of cards only once, so to finally make another was fun! The directions can be found HERE.
The stamps I used is a set from the Greeting Farm called Keep Cozy. These stamps were perfect for the theme this time around. I was in the mood for some non traditional Christmas colors and made the snowmen all wear some pink and green.

I used circle nestabilities to create the opening of my card, tore some white cardstock to simulate the uneven snow on the ground and then added white flowersoft on the tops and glittered with stickles. I've also punched some snowflakes and added bling.

Here's the top view of what the card looks like. This is also what the placement of the cardstock pieces should look like.

Traditional or Pastel

There are so many new color combinations out there for Christmas which do you prefer? The traditional, vintage or pastel? I actually like all of them it just depends on what mood I'm in and depends on who the gift is for. The cards today showcase the brand new digital images from Pink Cat Studio that are available for purhcase today!! The first is Lily in her Winter Coat.

I love that she has a muff to keep her hands warm and I also love using flowersoft to make it look as if it were a real one. Now that I look at it, I probably should have used a different color for it since it doesn't show up well in the photos.

This next image is Lily dressed as a snowflake fairy, which happens to be one of my favorite images. She reminds me of the cute little sanrio kids called The Little Twin Stars. They were usually colored in pink and blue. Do you remember them too? Anyway, I like this color combo with the added silver bling and cardstock it gives a cool and wintery feel.

Clean and Simple

Happy Tuesday, I hope your week has started off well. The card I made today is for a challenge for Alota Rubberstamps which takes place on Paper Craft Planet.
The challenge is to create a Clean and Simple card. This is basically one that has one layer to it and few embellishments. For those of you who know my cards you will notice that making a clean and simple card was a challenge. I did enjoy the challenge and hope that you will have a chance to participate with us! This challenge will run until October 31st.

Pumpkin Picking Season

Tilda is ready for Halloween! She's got her pumpkins and will have them all carved and lit for all the Trick or Treaters. It's time for a brand new Roses on Paper Challenge which is to create a card, project or treat for Halloween. I decided to make a card but not just any card. This card is called a Recessed Window Card. I have taken a few photos in hopes that you can see that the center of the card sits behind the punched out fence. Instructions can be found here.
I have also made this card for the Spotlight Saturday Challenge! This is a new challenge blog that has lots of new and fun challenges. This week the challenge is to make a scene for your card. These jack-o-lanterns are from last years Magnolia Halloween Collection and the little pumpkins in the middle are the ones sitting in Tilda's lap. I just colored and cut them out to be placed in the front of the fence.

This week I wanted to share an adorable stamp that reminds me of what my niece does now that she is 2 years old. She just loves to be around people and share what she has just like in this stamp of the Scarecrow and Little Wizard from Belles n' Whistles Stamps.

This is a stamp that would most likely be used for Halloween but definitely for Thanksgiving too. All you need to do is just mask out (don't stamp) the Jack-o-Lantern that the Little Wizard is holding, or just stamp the scarecrow and use him alone. I have also used a sketch from Friday Sketchers to create my card.

Copic Creations Challenge #14

Hope all is well with everyone! Today is the start of another Copic Creations Challenge and the challenge is to color things black. I chose to color Tilda with Thistle and make her dress and shoes black. I must say that this was surely a challenge for me. I don't feel that I did the best job in coloring it to my liking. Too late now. Anyway, after I colored her I added some stickles to the bottom of her dress and flower, as well as the spiderweb border punch. This photo doesn't really show, but I have used my spiderweb cuttlebug embossing folder for the background.

I just love Halloween and had fun coloring the image regardless of it being difficult. =) I sure hope that you will have a chance to participate in the challenge and when you head on over to the blog be sure to check out the wonderful creations from the rest of the DT. Itty Bitty Christmas Stamps Release Day!!

The day is finally here for you to see all the cute Christmas stamps in the set and to purchase too! So head on over to Pink Cat Studio! I sure hope you loved looking at these cuties just as much I loved working with them.

I just had to show you one more card from the set, this is Betty dressed as a Christmas Tree. I love her cute dress and made sure to add the special details to her with glitter and crystal effects.

I added glitter to her headband, and the stars on her dress as well as some crystal effects to the balls on her dress and candy cane.

Pink Cat Christmas Sneak Peek: Day #2

It's Day 2 for Pink Cat Studio's Itty Bitty Christmas Sneak Peek of stamps! If you enjoyed yesterday's images, take a look at what I have to share with you today!! These are another couple of adorable ones! The first I have for you is of Betty and Bobby on a candy cane. I just loved creating them with last week's Mojo Monday sketch, so much fun! As mentioned in my previous posting, I will be trying to use my nestabilities and punches more often. So here we go!

I have also used my snowflake cuttlebug folder for the background of my card and added some bling! I love adding crystal effects to the candy cane to give it a realistic look.

My next card is of Bobby dressed up as a gingerbread man. I think it could also be Betty just because her hair is being covered by the costume. Anyway, I have used my favorite holiday paper from Basic Grey called Eskimo Kisses.

I think the background paper with the houses matched well with the stamp. (Gingerbread man...Gingerbread house) lol. Well, I hope you enjoyed checking out these stamps today! Pink Cat Christmas Sneak Peek Day #1

Welcome to another adorable sneak peek for Pink Cat Studio! The stamps I am featuring here are from the new Itty Bitty Christmas collection. My first card is of Betty and Bobby on a Reindeer. I must say that all of the stamps in this set are absolutely adorable that you'll just have to get it as soon as it's available! Some of you are saying that it's only October...but hey...Christmas will be here in no time!
Lately I have been trying hard to use my nestablities and punches on each card just because I haven't gotten a chance to use them since they arrived. So, you may just see more of that on my cards in the future just to warn you... (Hope that's a good thing!)

Here is Betty dressed up as a fairy, a cute candy cane fairy! I had fun decorating her with glitter for her wings and some pure white flowersoft for her santa hat and dress. I've also added some crystal effects to her candy wand and dress. Itty Bitty Betty & A Challenge

Have you gotten enough of Itty Bitty Betty for Christmas?? I haven't and decided to use her for my card with Christmas Stampin All Year Long! She is not a stamp but a digital image and you can get her HERE. I am just loving these adorable characters!

I love this Christmas Stamping blog because I know for sure that I am ready for Christmas and sending those cards out in perfect timing! Get started now if you haven't already, the perfect time is now since you are already given a sketch.

Here is a different angle on the card to show you a few details I added to it. I used a Christmas cuttlebug folder for the embossing, my nestabilities, and added little pink dots on the scalloped circle using liquid pearls. I have also added crystal lacquer to the candy cane areas.

Welcome Saturday Spotlight

I hope all of you had a great week and are ready to enjoy the weekend! Some of you may have a three day weekend to celebrate Colombus Day on Monday which gives you time to check out a new challenge blog called Saturday Spotlight. The very first challenge started last Saturday and a new one will begin each Saturday. The challenge is to create a Halloween card with a stamp that was not made for Halloween but you must add a Halloween sentiment to it. (Hope that makes sense) You can check it out HERE for all the details. The stamp I chose is from Pink Cat Studio. The sentiment is also from Pink Cat Studio using the new Halloween Itty Bitty Collection. Not only did I make this card for the Saturday Spotlight Challenge but also for Mojo Monday's sketch.

This sketch was so much fun to use, I was able to add lots of little extras including some bling and a skull and bones charm to match the image and papers.

Have you fallen in love with these beautiful Belles n' Whistles Stamps yet? I have and just love to create with them! The card I have for you today uses a stamp called Warm Apple Pie.
I also wanted to use the new Basic Grey paper that I got from Roses on Paper called Indian Summer, it's got my favorite color pink, and pretty leaves that go perfect with these holiday stamps.

I wanted to give my card a sweet and dainty look so I added some pearls and flowers. I also
got a chance to use my new cuttlebug embossing folder and embossed the white cardstock behind her for some texture.

Fall Colors Challenge

Happy Monday, I hope all of you had a great weekend! It's time for a new Roses on Paper and Belles n' Whistles challenge! For those of you who are new to the challenge the 2 stores are now merged into one challenge blog so you can create with stamps and products from Roses on Paper and with the adorable Belles n' Whistles stamps! It's my turn to host the challenge and I've decided to have everyone create a card using Orange, Green and Brown (basically Fall colors) and to choose a sketch from any challenge for the layout.
The card I made uses one of the cute Bildmalarna stamps from Roses on Paper...just perfect for the Fall Season. The sketch I used is from Friday Sketchers.

This Fall challenge runs for 2 weeks so you will have until October 19th to participate and have a chance at an awesome prize from Summer! We can't wait to see what all of you will make!

I had planned to create a card for all of you for Christmas Stampin' All Year Long but my back started bothering me this weekend and I came down with a slight cold so I will have to pass on that. If you'd like to create a card for the challenge, click HERE.
