Halloween Happenings!

Happy October 1st to all of you! Can you believe how time flies soooooo quickly! I just love Halloween and can't wait to fill this month with some fun and festive cards and treats! Well, today I am sharing with you a card I made for a new Copic Creations challenge #13 and the theme is pumpkins. There just could not be a better way or a cuter way to color pumpkins than using the Halloween stamps from CC Designs. This is Cow Emma, isn't she adorable! I actually think she could also be colored brown and beige for a giraffe costume too.
I was going for the night time trick-or-treat look. I probably should have added more pumpkins to the right side of my card or even a sentiment but I think I will add that as it gets closer to Halloween and give it away. =)
For my card I have airbrushed here and there and did a little sponging on the grey cardstock for an older/darker effect and even had the time to sew on it!

Hi Everyone! Wow, it really seems like forever since I last posted on my blog. I've missed all of you and hope you are all doing well! Today I wanted to share with you a little something I created with one of my NEW Belles n' Whistles Stamps, called Little Witch With Broom. The last time I used her I used the entire stamp and made put her on a recipe card. This time I wanted to try just a portion of it.


I stamped her 3 times and colored her in, punched a hole for the ribbon and tied it to a treat bag. How simple was that! You can do this with all of the NEW Stamps since they are for the upcoming holidays! I hope you enjoyed the idea and will create some of your own too. Got The Blues?

Time for another Flutterby Wednesday! It's the last Wednesday of the month for September and since this is Danni's Birthday month she is giving away some candy! Find out more details HERE. The challenge she chose this week is to create a card with a butterfly or a fairy but you must somehow incorporate the color Sapphire.
So I decided not to use my copics to color and chose to sponge the ink over the stamped image. I was going to do this on glossy paper but could not find where I put it... lol. Instead I just used Neenah CS. I was rather pleased with the way it turned out.

When you google the word Sapphire you will see a variety of shades of blue that could easily become that color. This was a fun challenge and great way to use things too.

Treats For All

It's time for an InStyle Stamps Blog Hop and this month's theme is treats! This cute fairy is Cynthia, she's holding a tooth which obviously means she's a tooth fairy... lol. When I first got this image I had no idea what I would do when it came to the theme of treats, but at the very last minute I decided to have a treat for all. Kids (and adults) love candy and some parents are worried that too much candy will cause cavities. So I have put together a fun little container with some candy and some toothpaste and dental floss! All you parents out there, this is also great to take with you on the go!
I've wrapped up some Hershey's Nuggets candy for a little decoration and added some crystal lacquer to the tooth to represent the shiny enamel of the tooth. I've also added some bling to the top of her hair.

Passion For Purple

Today I've decided to not only create my card for Flutterby Wednesday but also for The Anyone for Anya Challenge blog. The theme for both is to have flowers on your card. I just love it when I can create a card and use it to participate in a challenge. I chose to use various shades of purple for all of you who love purple!!
This is actually a very very last minute card, I finished it about 130 AM..lol I know there are many of you out there who stay up late and create too. For me, this is not only for fun but a great way to relax and relieve stress.

When making my card I added all kinds of accessories besides the flowers and the butterflies. I added some liquid pearls to the scalloped edge, bling to the centers of the butterflies and some shimmerz and stickles to the flowers. This photo doesn't really show the glitter on the flowers but it's there. =)

PINK CAT STUDIO IS GOING DIGITAL!

I'm so excited to announce that Pink Cat Studio is going digital! Today Melissa is opening an online digital store with a wonderful selection of brand new Halloween and Christmas designs. So now Pink Cat Studio will have 2 stores, one for rubber stamps and the other for digital stamps. Check out the new store HERE! I had so much fun creating with these digitals and went ahead to create a few Halloween items since that is our next celebration.

The first image I used is Itty Bitty Betty with her broom and jack-o-lantern she is so cute! I made an accordian folder with her and included a sentiment that comes from the new Halloween Pink Cat Studio stamp set. You can definitely use these folders for anything and I will be using my folder to place a variety of Halloween treat recipes. For the tabs I have used some spiders that I punched from my Martha Stewart punch.

Next, I made a card using a different image, which happens to be one of my favorites! One of the great things about digital stamps is the ability to make them as small or as big as you want. So I've enlarged it to fit my 6x6 card.

The background of my card is made with a spiderweb ribbon made of felt and some punched out spiders, both of which are from Martha Stewart. The frogs are all covered in crystal lacquer to simulate their slimy skin.

Last but not least, I have chosen another Betty image and made her slightly larger than her original size just to have her fit perfectly on my basket. This is a really fun and easy basket to make, especially if you are looking for something fast and simple.

Today I've got a new challenge for Roses on Paper where you must include stitching in your card. It can be any kind of stitching whether you draw it in or use your sewing machine but you must use a stamp that Roses on Paper carries.
Don't you just think this stamp is adorable! Well they are called Bild Malarnas, the newest addition to the Roses on Paper family. I had to really look at this stamp to find out why the pumpkin was carved and then the lid is being held down. I think it's because these little ghosts had opened it up and all the bats came flying out of it. So now, they don't want anyone to know that they are the ones who let them loose! LOL! What do you think? =)

Belles n' Whistles Fall Release!!

Welcome to our first ever Belles n' Whistles blog hop! If you have just arrived on my blog and didn't start from the beginning click HERE. I am so excited to be apart of this team and to be able to introduce to you one of the cutest stamps that are created by the very sweet and talented Elisabeth Bell. Here she is in all her cuteness Little Witch With Broom!! I just adore this image and the cute little spider that hangs from her broom.
The design team was asked by Summer to create something yummy with the image that we have and since I have pumpkins with this stamp I chose a Pumpkin Spice Latte! Oh these are absolutely delicious!! If you've never ever had one and love pumpkin desserts you are in for a real treat! One of the reasons I love the fall season is because all of the yummy pumpkin scents and flavors are back! Anyway here is a photo of my Pumpkin Spice Latte!

Hey Everyone, I'm introducing you to a very sweet and cute image just in time for Halloween!! Welcome the new Itty Bitty Kiddies! I just love this new line of stamps! Where did they come from you ask?? From PINK CAT STUDIO!! This is Itty Bitty Betty and Itty Bitty Bobby you will also see them for Christmas!! I just love Halloween because it's so much fun and I love Christmas because it's a very pretty time of year. Here are one of the stamps that you will get in the set which happens to be one of my favorites! I used a cloud template and sponged some craft ink for the background. Happy Tuesday to all of you, it's time for another Copic Creations Challenge!! This time we are creating cards using 2 kinds of media to color our images. The stamp comes from a company called Stamps Happen.
They are copic pens and prismacolor pencils. I've never used the two of them together until now but it really is interesting to see how they work with each other. I actually love trying all different kinds of media for coloring but right now I am soooo lovin' my copics! =)

All I Want For Christmas Is...

Good Monday morning everyone! Hope you had a fun filled, productive weekend! This week for Christmas Stampin' All Year Long we are following a sketch that was creatively done by Maria.
I had to use this doggie for my card, don't you think he has a cute little face? If you take a look at the sketch it will say the sentiment should go on the strip going across the card but I just had to use that as a chance for me to create some kind of collar that represents the dog. So the sentiment was placed on the circle instead.

How's that for a pair of acronymns? Makes me think of CSI or NYPD Blue... lol. Anyway, the first card I have to share with you today for the Roses on Paper Challenge which begins today! The challenge is to create a card using Lavendar, Soft Blue and Cream. I especially enjoyed working with these colors and this cute image! This image is from Belles n' Whistles called Sisters which happens to be another favorite of mine from this line!
You definitely can use your BnW stamps for this challenge since that blog is now combined with the Roses on Paper challenge!!
I just have to give this card to my sister, I know that she loves Elisabeth Bell's creations!

The next card I have to share with you is for Christmas Stampin' All Year Long! Yes, it really is September everyone and I suggest if you plan to make cards this year and especially if you have not started on them, now is a great time! The challenge this week is for you to do some paper piecing on your card. I don't really do a lot of it but had fun with this one!

I've had this cute little guy from last Christmas and finally got to use him for this year!

For those of you who don't like to color too much I think paper piecing is probably the perfect technique to use. Here it's all colored and even has a pattern/design that you don't need to worry about! It can also make your cards easier to piece together.

We'd love to see what you will create with this techinque so please be sure to post your card HERE.

I know I have not been able to comment on your blogs in the last couple of days but will be getting around to that later today. Belles n' Whistles Tutorial Thursday!!

To get these adorable stamps, you're a click away! Well, I've named today Tutorial Thursday because I will be showing you how I pop up my stamped images.
This card I have for you today was created with a Belles n' Whistles stamp called Belle with Teddy.

I've created this card using a sketch from Friday Sketchers blog Challenge.

The first thing I did was stamp and color the entire image.

I then stamped another image and colored only the parts that I will be using to pop up the stamp.

Next, I cut out the pieces and placed a piece of mounting tape on the back of each piece.

I placed the cut out pieces on the flat colored image. Here is one view of the popped up parts on the card. (Hope you can see that well).

Here is another view of the card just to show you the parts that I have popped up. They include the 2 bows in her hair, the ruffles on her blouse, her jeans just above the stool and the teddy bear.

A Flutterby Birthday

It is a late post for me today as I had to find the lost pictures for the card I made. I then had trouble trying to get the correct lighting on my card and you'll see what I mean. Anyway, the main reason for today is to let all of you know that this month Danni who is the owner of Flutterby Wednesday is turning the big 4-0! She is celebrating the entire month of September and is currently giving away some awesome birthday candy!! You'd definitely want to participate to win!!
The challenge is for you to create a Birthday card with a fairy or butterfly! Easy Peasy! So I finally got the chance to use Birthday Anya from The Greeting Farm, isn't she a cutie! I then added some butterflies around her. I think she's laughing because the butterflies are all around her! LOL!

This is a closer look at my card in a different light. Here you can see that I have used my Hello Kitty Sizzix embossing folder on the base of my card and I have also used it on my yellow layered nestabilities.
