A New Prince

Good morning! It's the last friday of the month which means that it is time for another blog hop with In Style Stamps!! The theme this month is Fantasy.... Introducing Prince Gael, he along with fairies, dragons and a princess of course are among the newest images!
Here he is in all his glory, defending his castle!! So, I have created a card and to match it, I used another image of him and placed it on a tin that will be used for a gift. I thought the tin was perfect for him being that it matches his shiny armour. =)

Fairy Sweet

Good morning! Today's card was created for Flutterby Wednesday and The One Card Swap. First, the challenge this week on Flutterby Wednesday is to create a card that has no printed papers on it. For those of you who participated in last week's challenge, the challenge was similar but, it was to make a card with a scene and to not use any printed papers. So here's what I came up with.
This adorable fairy comes to us from CC Designs. I just love these stamps! They are very cute and sweet and easy to work with. I finally got to use my nestabilities that have not yet been opened! Besides loving my copics, I absolutely love my nestabilities! They really do bring out the image on your card.
I have also made this card for the monthly One Card Swap. For those of you that have not yet heard of it, Teri has been doing this for several months now. All you need to do to participate is be on the lookout for her post that tells you when to sign up, she will then pair you with someone to swap one card for the month. This is a great way to meet new bloggers!
My card this month goes to a very sweet, and funny person... Kyoko!! I've met Kyoko a few months back and she is so sweet, crafty and so much fun to be around! Anyway, I hope that she does not see this post before I send her an email to say this is her card. LOL!
I'm not sure if she wants to see the card here on my blog first or get it in the mail first.
I hope she likes the card! =)
Be sure to upload your card for Flutterby Wednesday HERE. We'd love to see what you will make!
Thanks so much for stopping by and for any comments that you may leave me. Have a wonderful Wednesday and I'll be posting more birthday RAKs that I recently received in a post for tomorrow!! You'll LOVE seeing the creativity these ladies have!!

Crafting with Great Friends

On Sunday, a group of local bloggers got together at Denise's house to have a fun filled day of stamping, crafting and hanging out. Thanks to Denise, Jim and Jamee for having all of us there! It was really nice to see each other in person and not just on our blogs, I think we should get together like this more often!! =) Not only did we stamp, but we have also made gifts for each other. You've got to see what terrific talent these group of girls have!!

First, I must say that I am loving the Twilight Saga! I just started reading the books and are currently half way through the 3rd book called Eclipse. Edward is soooo HOT! He's literally to die for! (Jamee and Linda, you know what I'm talking about). =)
So, Jamee made this awesome bookmark for me since I am reading these books for the first time. (Of course I'm going to read them all over again! ) I just love this Jamee!! Thank you!

Strawberry Patch

Good Monday morning! Hope your weekend was a fabulous one! It's a Roses on Paper Challenge and this week's one is to make a card with hearts. So the card I have for you today are the new images from the new Magnolia Spring Collection. Be sure you pre-order your stamps from Summer at Roses on Paper!!
From the collection I have chosen these 2 stamps. I just thought they were so sweet! I could not wait to use them, what do you think of them?? For the theme, I have used a heart border punch from Fiskars and placed it at the bottom of the stamped image. Here is a closer look at the images. I have also pierced around the edges of the stamped image for a little accent. It's a quick post today but I will be back either later today or tomorrow to show you the gathering we had on Sunday with some awesome local bloggers!!
Be sure to scroll down and see the other challenge going on today! Thanks so much for starting your work week with me!

Snow People

Time for another Christmas Challenge at Christmas Stampin' All Year Long! This week's theme is to create a card with a snowman. What a perfect way to cool off your summer days and to get at least one card done before the holidays sneak up on you again this year!! LOL!
I decided to use a couple of non-traditional colors for this Christmas card. I actually like that some of the papers for the holidays include pink in it. Not just because it's my favorite color, but it seems to bring out the red and green and breaks the monotony of the traditional colors.
Here's a closer look at the image. I would've liked to have used my copic airbrush system for the background, but because it was rather late in the night, I chose to color it in with my pen. Not an ideal choice for me since the coloring is not as nice as the airbrush system gives it.
This is a stamp from Pink Cat Studio! Be sure to check out the sneak peeks for the new set to be released next week!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Musical Bugs, OCS, and Awesome RAK!!

Well, I must apologize for this horrible picture of my card today. I am posting this from another computer and happened to upload a picture that I was meant to I will remove it later today and post the correct one. Anyway, the card was created with the Alota Rubberstamps Bugs! The sketch I used is from the Midnight Madness Challenge.
If you need a sketch for the week, they've got great sketches!. Pop on over to also check out the blog candy that's being given away too!!
Here is a better picture of the card . I used my copics to color, and added some dazzling diamonds to the wings on the bugs as well as some crystal lacquer to the trumpet. (I think that's what it is but not sure) LOL!
This card was created by my funny and sweet friend Kyoko!! She and I were partnered up this month in the One Card Swap from Teri. This is the super cute card she made for me! I love it girl, it's in pink too! =) I will post my card for her next week!
Last but not least... Here is an awesome RAK and cute card I received from my friend and DT member of Roses on Paper, Anki! She sent me a stamp, but the image that I really wanted, it's a Hanglar stamp!! Oh boy was I excited to get this!! Thank you so much for thinking of me and I really do LOVE these images and your sweet card too!! =)
Hope all of you are having a great day, many thanks for your sweet comments too!!

Forever Friends

Hello and thank you for joining me today! This is my first posting please scroll down to see the second one. I love CUTE stamps and things and the card I have here is created with a super cute image of one of the latest stamps from CC Designs that you can get at 7 kids college fund.
One of the many things I like doing to my stamps is to make the image "pop", just like this one. I have stamped the image a couple of times and colored, cut and layered them for a 3D effect. It's a bit time consuming but the results are so pretty!! To create my card I have used the paper from DCWV's Summer Stack, SU dazzling diamonds, and Bazzill bling paper. I have also used my nestabilities to make the card. If you love your nesties like I do, you can get them here at 7 kids college fund at a great price! Be sure to check the store for all the latest nesties as well as the ones that are soon to be released you won't be disappointed! Thanks for stopping by, and be sure to scroll down for my second post of the day.

A Sweetheart

Here is the card I had made for yesterday's Flutterby Wednesday challenge. This week's challenge was chosen by design team member Heather. Her challenge is to create a card making a scene and using little or no designer paper. Well, I really love my printed papers and found this to be a little bit of a challenge. So I decided to use my cuttlebug folders instead! These make perfect backgrounds and textures. I ran into Kyoko last week at J's and we were just talking about our cuttlebug folders and how we have so many of them but really need to start using them more often. So, I will be incorporating more of my cuttlebug folders into my cards and see how that goes! =)
I used a cute stamp from Anki's Sweethearts! Anki is my fellow DT member for Roses on Paper and Belles n' Whistles (soon to come!). This image came from her first set of stamps, she now has her second set of stamps and that can be found here. Due to so much rushing around this week, I was not able to create the clouds in the sky the way I wanted to by using my copic airbrush system so I sponged it on.
Another one of my favorite things to use are nestabilities! I love them! I have used 2 different cuttlebug folders, one for the pink cardstock and the other on the base of the card. Hope all of you will join in on the fun! I love to participate in challenges that take me out of the box!
Please click on each of the names to see what was created for the challenge! Ann, Cassie, Chris, Christine, Harriet, Heather, Kim, Lelia, Michelle, Nancy, Nicola, Stef, Taylor
Have a wonderful day! =)

Expecting Someone?

When I first saw this image, I just thought they were such a cute couple! Now that I had a chance to create a card with them I knew I wanted to make a non-traditional shower card. I wanted to stay away from colors that normally represented a baby.
A co-worker is expecting her 3rd child and is due the second week in August so I created this card for her. Hope she likes it! We are throwing her a surprise shower next Friday. =)
Here's a closer look at the happy couple! I had a little trouble in coloring his pants. The pen I was using decided to run out of ink just as I was done coloring. Well, no one's perfect...
I've refilled the ink but didn't want to do more damage, so I left it.
Please scroll down to see the other 2 postings for the day.
Have a good one!

Tilda with Shamrocks...or Flowers!

Good Monday morning, hope all of you had a great weekend!! Welcome to another Christmas Stampin' All Year Long Challenge, today we are on Challenge #26!! Maria has created a sketch for you to follow when making your card. Here's what I came up with. I decided to use a Magnolia stamp that I have not yet used. This is Tilda with Shamrocks! I got her from none other than Roses on Paper!! If you love Magnolias, a friendly and speedy service be sure to get them there and check out when you can place your next pre-order too!!
Instead of showing Tilda holding the shamrocks, I have altered her to show you that you can use her for more that just one occassion! The possibilities are endless! Because I wanted her to look like she is a Christmas stamp, I punched some red flowers and used some liquid pearls to make the centers look like a poinsettia. Do you think it looks like poinsettias? I then did some filling in between the flowers with some flowersoft.

Here is the sketch that Maria has created for the challenge. I just love her sketches, they are so easy and fun to use!!
Here is a close up of the flowers she is holding. I also wanted to create background behind her with a little lighter color and chose to sponge it on instead of using my copic airbrush system. It gives it a different look with some deeper specs. I have also used this stamp to participate in the Old Magnolia Challenge too!!
The next post has the recent birthday RAKs I received!! Have a wonderful day!

Sunflowers for Grace

Happy Aloha Friday! Today I have created a card using this adorable stamp from Alota Rubberstamps called Sunflowers for Grace. This is one of my many favorite new stamps at Alota, check out the new stamps HERE. I love using stamps that can be for any occassion, such as this one. I've decided not to choose papers that will take the attention away from the sunflowers so I kept it closer to one of the colors on the stamp that covered a small area. It happened to be purple.
Since my papers were chosen and my stamped image was colored all I needed was a sketch. So, this week I followed this sketch from the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #10. This was a fun layout to work with. Not only is a sketch challenge going on but a chance to become a guest designer for one month, and to win some awesome blog candy!! Is that enough or what?
Click HERE and keep scrolling down to find out the details for all 3 of them.
I really liked working with this layout! This is a challenge that starts every Tuesday and runs for one week.

Here is a closer look at the bees and sunflowers. I know that this picture did not come out very clear at all and I will have to figure that out. Hope all of you have a great day and take the time to Stamp! Thanks for your all of your sweet comments!
Have a great day!

Flutterby Color Challenge

I know it's not Wednesday but here is the card I made for yesterday's new challenge for Flutterby Wednesday! The challenge is to create a card using Pink and Brown. This was a pretty easy one for me since I love this color combination and had lots to work with.
For my card I decided to use some new and some older items from Stampin' Up. The new In Colors really seem to match with a few of the colors in the standard color wheel. This is great because you can use not only solid cardstocks but printed DSP too!
Here is a closer photo to show that I have used some stickles to shine on the butterfly. I know most of you love this color combo too, so bring out your butterfly or fairy stamps and create a card, we'd love to see your creation! Click HERE to post your card.
Thanks so much for stopping by, be sure to scroll down to see the birthday RAKs I received.
Stamps: God's Beauty (SU), Sweet Little Sentiments (SU)
Paper: Candy Lane (retired), Razzleberry Lemonade,Chocolate Chip & Melon Mambo CS
