Delight in Simple Things

Time for another challenge with Copic Creations! Our new challenge is for you to create a card showing us how you color wood. As I was getting my ideas together for this challenge, I knew exactly what stamps I would use to make the card but never knew that I would have to use so many different colors just to get that wood-like appearance. This one was kind of hard for me to get it just the way I want it but had to go with this one.
I used this bridge deck that Tilda is sitting on. Not only was there less wood to color but I wanted to feature some kind of scene that symbolizes the season of Summer. I really enjoyed this challenge.

Here are the colors I used to color the deck E31, E34, E29, and E39. I also used my copic airbrush system to create the water that Tilda is wading in. To see what the rest of the DT has made, click HERE. Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day!!
Card Details:
Stamp: Tilda in Lace Skirt, Bridge Deck, SU Simple Things
Paper: Bordering Blue CS, Neenah White CS, Bella Birds DSP
Ink: Copics
Accessories: Martha Stewart Buttefly Punch, Pink half pearls, Paper Piercer, Copic Airbrush
system, Tag Punch

The wood is great, but what I'm most impressed with is the water with her feet in it. I swear it looks 3-D. That is so awesome! Best, Curt
