Christmas RAKs

Hello Blogland! I sure hope all of you had a wonderful Christmas, and now looking forward to celebrating a New Year. Before the New Year arrives, I want to share more of the RAKs I received over the Christmas holiday.
Here is a beautiful card I received from my friend Curt! He did such an awesome job making it very festive. The entire image is embossed in gold, and he had added red bling as accents for decoration on the tree. Thank you so much Curt, I love it! =)
This card was made by Michelle, earlier in another post I had shown what she made but I did not show you the pretty card. She also used a Christmas tree but used glitter to make it sparkle.
Thank you Michelle! =)
Here is a RAK from sweet Teri! The basket is filled with all kinds of goodies like bath soaps, perfume, a sachet, a cute rubber duckie and more. On either side of the basket are ornaments for Christmas. So cute and I love the scents! Thank you so much Teri! I love it all. =)
Don't you just love this tin? I love it! Thanks to Teri who gave it to me. Check out her cute family photo for Christmas, all of you look so happy! =)
I love the tin but I love the way that Teri ties her bows, so of course I didn't want to untie the bow. I had to open the tin to find out what is in there. So instead of untying the bow, I slid the bow off to the side, and she baked! Where in the world did she have the time? Thanks so much Teri! The cookies are so yummy~ Snickers Cookies is what they are! =)
Last but not least, here is a RAK from Liann. She does not have a blog, but she does frequently visit us bloggers to say hello, and leave us sweet comments. She created this cute hello kitty card in ther center of this photo. Hello Kitty is all glittered up and ready for the holidays. Liann, I love everything and anything Hello Kitty~Thank you so much for thinking of me! =)
Thank you to all of you and for those of you who continue to read and support my blogging. =)
Happy New Year!!

Recent RAKs and A NEW Online Store!

Hello everyone! I have some RAKs I'd like to share with you from such sweet ladies. The first one is from Michelle, I can't believe I finally got to meet her iand her daughter in person when I went to Teri's place last weekend. She is so sweet and very creative, can't you tell? Thank you so much! I had taken the pictures a couple of days after and only had a chance to post them today. I am almost done with my Christmas shopping, but now I need to wrap them and ship them out. I really don't think that my gifts to the mainland will get to it's destination before Christmas. I am so sorry for those of you who get my gift after Christmas. =(
I will do my best to get them out of my house within a day or 2.
This next RAK is from my dear friend Rita! Hi Rita!! Thanks so much for this pretty card I love it! Rita did such a great job with this card. You can't tell from this picture but, she actually colored and cut out the blouse this lady is wearing, then pieced it onto her. Do you see how thin her clothing is? I really don't know how you did that Rita but what a fabulous job well done!! Wishing you a very Merry Christmas girl! =)

I also got a RAK from Denise! Denise gave me a box of Mint flavored M&Ms---love it! Well of course I had to open it up to try them, of course they were good. I then shared it with some friends when they came over that same day and the next thing I know, they're all gone! Well Denise, now you know that that was a great RAK! lol=) Thanks so much, you are too sweet!! =)
Last but not least... there is a NEW Online store called Island Paperie. It was introduced to me by a new friend and blogger Jen! Hi Jen, hope you guys headed to the beach for some sun after all this rain in Hawaii! (She is very creative). Anyway, Island Paperie is a store here in the islands. You are now able to order their products online, participate in their very first Paper Craft Planet Challenge and be eligible to win a $25 gift card to shop at their online store!! How cool is that, head on over there to check them out! =) In the mean time, hope your day is going well and thank you for stopping by.

Alota Rubberstamps!

Good morning all! Well, the weather here in Hawaii looks like it's finally clearing up after 2 days of heavy rain and strong gusts of wind. Currently it looks just like the sky in the background of my card. Today I'd like to tell you I have been chosen as a DT member for Alota Rubberstamps! They have all kinds of stamps that range from cute to backgrounds and accessories. The dog house of this card is a stamp from Alota, and it just went perfect when I paired it up with Rufus the dog from the Magnolia collection. I have also added some clouds in the background using my Stampin' Up cloud template and sponged some light blue ink. The rest of the images were colored using my copics.
I wanted to somehow create a collar as an accessory so I used red ribbon, added eyelets and used a vellum circle ring as a dog tag and wrote his name there.
Here, you can kind of see the clouds better. I have also used my P-touch to create his name and placed it above the entrance to his house. I cut and moounted Rufus to give a little dimension. Thanks for stopping by, I wish all of you a great day and I'll see you tomorrow! =)

Let It Snow!

It's going to be a short post today as I need to get to bed early. For the past couple of days I had a very minimal amount of sleep. This all started after drinking coffee on a Sunday about 4 in the afternoon, and never slept until 3 AM on Monday. We recently exchanged a coffee maker from one of my wedding showers and picked up the Keurig. I just LOVE it! So we had to try it out! Anyway, onto my card. This is one of my favorite Christmas stamps, it;s the latest holiday set from Pink Cat Studio. They just look so happy sledding away. Another favorite is the DSP from Stampin' Up called Holiday Treasures. The colors are very warm and match well together.
I used chunky glitter pieces to create an area of snow so that it was visible on my blog and on the card. Thanks for stopping by and I hope all of you have a great day! I will have to get to bed early tonight. =)

ROP PCP Challenge #1

I hope all of you had a great weekend, and made it a productive one while shopping for all of your Christmas gifts. I on the other hand, have not made a dent in my list, and looks like it's another one of those years when I procrastinate again...lol. Today's card was created for the very first Roses on Paper challenge on Paper Craft Planet. Since I am hosting this challenge, I must tell you to head on over there to win a really great prize!! ( Wish I could participate) The challenge is to create a Christmas card so I finally was able to use my Tilda with Candy Cane stamp.
For some reason, this stamp seems to be a little larger than some of the other standing Tilda stamps. Anyway, I had fun making it because I was able to use my Stampin' Up items for the entire card. If you look closely you can see that I added some crystal lacquer to the candy cane giving it a realistic look. Here are the supplies used:
Stamps: Tidal & Candy Cane, Baroque Motifs
Paper: SU DSP I Wish, Chocolate Chip CS
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics
Accessories: 5/8" Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon, SU DSP I Wish stickers, dimensionals and crystal lacquer.
Join us for the fun and remember the winner will be announced December 22nd.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

It really is a blogging dream come true!! =) Today I have a 2 pocket bag (splitcoast has the instructions) that I used with the new Christmas Whiff of Joy stamps that you can purchase at Roses on Paper. For those of you not on Paper Craft Planet yet, come on over and join me! It's full of fun, great crafts and great friends both new and old. =) You do not even need to have a blog to join.

The challenge is to make a Thank You card and I chose one of my favorite Sarah Kay stamps for Christmas then decided to use the sketch from Friday Sketchers blog challenge.

High Hopes Challenge #9

Hey there! Hope all of you had a very Happy Thanksgiving and got to spend it with close friends and relatives. Bryan and I celebrated Thanksgiving with my family for lunch and his family for dinner. At both places, there were some fantastic dishes made by everyone. This year since we tied the knot, Bryan volunteered to make the turkey for his family and my sister volunteered to make the turkey for my family. Both turned out great!! =)
Anyway onto the card. I created a card for High Hopes challenge blog using the sketch below.
This was a great sketch to work with, and is also my first time participating in this challenge.

Here is a closer look at my card. I used ribbon to go across the card and added some silver eyelets and SU hodgepodge hardware to make it look like a belt, being that he is a cowboy! Then I also added a small silver bell to the main image to give it something different, it reminds me of cows that have those bells around their necks.
Supplies Used:
Stamps: High Hopes. SU Cowboy Kid
Paper: All SU Cardstock
Ink: Memento Black Ink, Copics to color, SU Real Red
Accessories: Silver Bell, Dimensionals, SU Chocolate Chip Grosgrain ribbon, Silver Hodgepodge

Home for the Holidays

Aloha! Hope all of you are doing well and enjoying your weekend. I have a card today made using a Splitcoast Stampers Sketch #203. I also challenged myself to see if I could create a card with using only 3 colors.
For those of you Magnolia fans, you may be able to relate to me. Ever since I have been stamping and collecting these cuties, I have always wondered if there is a story behind Tilda and Edwin. Are they siblings? Are they a couple? I have still never found out the relationship they have. With that said, if I am creating a scene, I will make a story up. So, in this card I think she is headed home after picking some poinsettia flowers to decorate while Edwin is there getting dinner ready... LOL! So anyway, if any of you know the true relationship behind Tilda and Edwin I'm all ears! In the mean time, I would love to hear the stories you come up with just by looking at this card--just leave your story in the comments on this posting. =)
I colored my image first and glittered the entire winter scene to make it look like Winter's here. I also used Flower Soft on Tilda's clothing. It's the same thing I used in a previous card earlier this week. Flower soft has become the latest craze in paper crafts, and can be purchased at
Roses on Paper as well as the Magnolia stamps! (Happy Shopping--tell the owner of the store, Summer...that I sent you!)
One more thing, Enjoli is having some blog candy going on. She is pretty crafty!! Check her out!
Thanks for stopping by and have a Happy Weekend!

Spooky Award

Aloha blogland! I was given this spooky award by my friend Nikki over at Bunny-Zoe's, thanks so much Nikki!!!
The rules are simple, just to pick 5 inspirational blogs...my problem is there are so many that are very inspirational. Well, in no particular order....here goes....
Have a great day everyone and thanks so much for all of your inspiration!!
Thanks for stopping by. =)

Lovely Hula Hands

Good morning all! Today I decided to use my Hawaii Tilda stamp for a card that I will be giving away to a friend who does not live here in the islands. I chose Splitcoast Sketch #193, hopefully she's not reading this and This particular stamp reminds me of my sister when she used to dance the Hula at school.
Supplies used to create this card are as followers:
Basic Grey DSP
Cuttlebug Folder: stylized flowers
Prima Flowers
SU Brads, circle punches and ribbon
Have a great day and tbanks for stopping by!

Top Note Box

Happy Hump Day! Today I have a box made with a Sizzix Top Note cut out. I have been trying to create a box that opens without the top coming off and to fit the size of these Magnolia Stamps since I have soooo many of them. The only thing I could come closest to is the square box also known as the Pizza box. So, to create this box I took a shirt box (one you would use to give away with clothes in) and cut the center to simulate a pizza box only it was in the shape of a rectangle. That worked well so, I had to play with the size of the box and finally came down to a set dimension. I will post a tutorial of the box in case you want to make one too! =)
Here is what the front looks like. In a previous post, I said I will have to start making things with the tons of Magnolia Stamps I own so here is one of them. She is called Standing Fall Tilda. I love this stamp because of how she has her head tilted--so cute!! =) I decided to make something festive for the season but you can use this kind of box for any occassion.
Here is a top view of the box. I used the Sizzix die called Top Note to cover the box because this gave it a better looking appearance and I got this idea from a box of candy. I recall as a child having those boxes of candies that opened up like this, I used to refer to them as "story book " boxes because they opened just that way...like a story book. LOL. Anyway the top note gave it a better finish.
Here is the inside of the box and you can fill it with anything your heart desires. I found a bunch of prima flowers so I put that in there just for looks. The Magnolia stamp and the prima flowers were purchased from my friend Summer's store at Roses on Paper. Check her store out, she has really great products and you will LOVE her service!!! =) Tell her I sent you. =) All other products are from Stampin' Up. Hope you all have a great Wednesday. Thank you for stopping by and starting your day with me. =)

Let's Talk Turkey

These are the exact words on this Whipper Snapper Turkey Stamp. I chose not to use a sentiment on this card. To create this card, I used the SCS weekly challenge sketch #202. I wanted to try a sketch out from this site, but never got around to doing one.
Just to show you, the beak is covered with cystal laquer, and I have used my copics to color the image. Everything on this card is all from Stampin Up except the stamp which is from Whipper Snapper Designs and the use of a cuttle bug folder. It's a short post, I am extremely tired since I only slept for 4 hours last night.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.

Sweet as Sugar

Aloha Monday everyone! I thought we should start the week off with a sweet card so I made my first ever Sugar Nellie card. I LOVE these stamps, they are sooo darn cute! =) For those of you who have these stamps, please leave a link to your sugar nellie creations---I would LOVE to see them! =)
I used my copics to color the image, and also used crystal lacquer to accent the bowl she is handing to her little kitty.
I did a triange fold card and adhered it to a 5.5" square as a base. This is what the inside of the card looks like.
Supplies:
Stamps: Sugar Nellie, SU sentiment
Paper: SU More Mustard, Baja Breeze, Playshop White CS (from LSS), SU DSP Autumn Wishes, and SU DSP Pink Pirouette
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics
Accessories: SU Pretty In Pink Grosgrain Ribbon, Hero Arts Flower Bling
Have a great day and Thank You for starting your week with me!

Pink Cat Christmas

Can you believe it's already Sunday, the weekends need to be longer. As I mentioned a few days ago, I finally had a chance to mount my stamps from Pink Cat Studio so I was able to create this card. Another reason I wanted to make this card was to be able to use my pretty paper from Basic Grey called Wassail. I LOVE this stack! It's soooo pretty for Christmas. There are many other new prints from Basic Grey that you can get on my friend Summer's webstore called
Roses On Paper. Not only does she sell paper, her main product is Magnolias and so much more. Just recently she added Prima Flowers and I used them here on the card.
Another item that Summer has is Flower Soft. Flower soft is mainly used to accent your project to create a floral background. I 'm not sure what else you can do with it but I used it here on my card. I applied it to Lily's Santa outfit. The picture below makes it easier to view.
At first, I thought of using liquid applique, then I thought Fun Flock but none would really give it the look that I was going for and that's when I chose to use the flower soft. I think it makes it easier to see that it's a furry or fluffy kind of feel. I colored my image with my copics, used my straight square nestabilities, scallop square nestabilities, SU Stitched grosgrain ribbon, and liquid pearls. Thank you for stopping by and I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend! =)

A Belated Birthday

Hi Everyone, today I have a card for a sweet boy who's birthday was last week. I was not able to post or mail it because my wedding was just last week too. This card will be sent out tomorrow to Claire's son Daniel. I made sure that she knew it was going to be sent late. I chose Edwin with Cap for him, and decided to use a retired Stampin' Up set called Toy Box. This set has a bunch of cute toys that boys would play with.
I've got a bunch of Magnolia Stamps that I need to use and make things with so be on the look out for that. The paper I used is Stampin' Up's DSP called Maine Blueberry and their orange striped ribbon. I colored this image with my copics, added dew drops as an accent and some stickles glitter to Edwin's angel wings. Thanks for sharing your night with me, stop by tomorrow for a holiday card! =)

Pretty Bird

Good morning everyone, happy Aloha Friday!! We made it to the end of the work week. This week flew by so quick, can you believe it's been almost 1 week since I got married? Speaking of married, this card here was made by my friend Kristie for my bridal shower. She said this Hello Kitty Birdie has nothing to do with a wedding but she made it because the night before the shower I told her I never got it. I love it of course, and she managed to use the colors of my wedding which are red and orange.
She made this card with a few layers, used her nestabilities scallop rectangle, and gave dimension to the birdie with mounting tape. She also made sure to add glitter and some crystal lacquer to the beak and wings. I thought she did an awesome job!
If you have not checked it out yet, head on over to Claudia 's blog. She has some blog candy for her blogaversary!
Wish you all a great day and thanks for stopping by! =)
